Sweet Mia Nail Spa St.Louis

5 stars — This salon is a one-of-a-kind natural spa experience in STL! When you walk in there’s no chemical smell—just the fresh scent of essential oils. They use only fresh ingredients and house-made scrubs, masks, and butter; I had the Sweet Fall pedicure with fresh milk and flowers and it felt luxurious and truly natural. The highlight was the neck, shoulder and scalp massage that instantly relieved my daylong headache and loosened stubborn shoulder knots. If you want a salon that actually feels like a spa the moment you enter, this is the place.

I had a horrible experience here. My sister and I wanted to go on a sister date. When we arrived, the woman at the front desk was extremely rude. There was another woman standing next to her, the main woman who checked us in asked the other woman if she’d like to take one of us back. The woman looked us up and down with a disgusted look and said “um no.” My sister was taken back for her pedicure, her nail tech was so sweet and kind so that’s a plus. I was taken to my manicure and the woman I had was mean. She sighed rudely, gave me dirty looks, and she was rough on my nails. Even told me my nails looked awful when she first saw them (I rarely get my nails done so yes, they’re not the prettiest nails but that’s why I’m there). She barely cut my cuticles. When I was done, she told me to go sit with my sister. My sister got regular polish, not gel. When she was done, the lady who did my nails told us to leave. We were not disruptive, there was like 3 other people in there with a bunch of open chairs so we weren’t taking up space. My sisters nails weren’t even dry. When we went to pay, she charged us for TWO PEDICURES instead of a manicure/pedicure. We didn’t want to bother saying anything since we both felt like a burden (we’re both people pleasers so it just made us feel not great). We’re nice people, we don’t complain, we still tipped. But I wouldn’t recommend this place. That was a horrible experience. Oh and my sisters big toe polish got messed up since we were asked to leave before it was even a little dry. Edit- these are my nails after 6 days…. My nail tech didn’t even cut my cuticles. This is ridiculous and you guys are not admitting what you did wrong and how you treated my sister and I. We will NOT be back.

After a heavy week, I gave myself permission to reset at Sweet Mia Natural Nail Spa on Manchester Rd in Des Peres—and it delivered exactly the calm I needed. The basic pedicure was $49 (as of today) and came with thoughtful extras that made it feel luxe: a warm neck wrap as soon as I sat down and a hot stone massage included with the basic service. The zero-gravity chair took the relaxation up a notch, and they offered tea/coffee/water, which was such a kind touch. The space is spotless, serene, and minimalist—think peaceful music, soft conversation, and an unhurried pace. My tech was gentle, detail-oriented, and professional, checking in just enough without breaking the chill vibe. I left with smooth heels, neat cuticles, and perfectly polished toes—and more importantly, I felt rested and reset. Good to know: this place is popular—book an appointment because they fill up fast. Not the experience I was expecting. This was truly a "treat" that I was looking forward to to distract from current stress; ended up adding stress. Above "average pedicure/manicure services" tp pick from. I was excited for service that stood behind it! I spent a total of $170ish ($138 service + $30 tip) By choice; after trying to find a "great place" to go I drove a total of 1.5 hours round trip to come visit Sweet Mias & spent longer trying to get the polish to dry then the time I was actually getting services 😩 my whole late afternoon-evening off, which would have been great had it been a truly relaxing experience. I have reached out by email (will give fair amount of time) then update this review/response or include more details/pics if needed. Starting the feeling of being a inconvenience when I arrived for the appointment: -after fixing a small chip that I agreed to fix on my own with a file; someone there contuined to file... making the polish look "worse" - A polish I did not pick was used -Toes never dried ( >5 hours after being painted; I couldn't wear socks so I had to remove the polish) -Upgraded polish to nails did dry but already lifting to egdes & messy around the cuticle area. When I checked out & before leaving without trying to draw attention to others/impact their experience, I said I was not happy with the services. Was told if there were polish issues I could come back. They are closed the Monday and that is my only option until mid Sept. (Again truly a treat & something I made time for...so much time! 😬) Yes, I still tipped bc I do believe everyone has bad days but after sharing my experience with friends they agreed... definitely not a "great" or even "good" experience. At minimum there should be a "polish fix" & what would be truly fair is a refund of some "services" or a redo to make things right. For now attaching 1 picture from right after I left.

I had the best pedicure experience with Audrey! She was very detail oriented and super personable! It’s a very relaxing & spa like atmosphere. I also loved that I didn’t feel rushed at all. Sweet Mia is definitely my go to spot for my nails & toes now!
