Salon Rustique Hair Salon

Before posting this review, I did attempt to give the stylist an opportunity to fix this mistake as well as contact the owner to find some sort of resolution. I had my second appointment with Andrea 11/16/24. Prior to my appointment, we discussed in text adding purple pops of color into my blonde highlights. I had intentions of lavender, but she recommended dark purple so it would last longer as it faded to lavender. The day of my service I asked her a few times if the purple was going to ruin my blonde hair I had spent a lot of time and $ over the last year to achieve. She assured me it wouldn't ruin my hair, would fade to lavender and any remnants left over she could easily remove at my next appointment. I followed her aftercare instructions: washed as little as possible in cold water with a good shampoo. My second wash 2 weeks after my service, my hair started fading to blue. I text her to ask what to do to remove the blue. She recommended clarifying shampoo. That made things worse, so I went in to see her. She told me she had no idea why it happened. She consulted with another stylist who told her the only option would be to color my hair copper, but she could try a color remover first. I looked up the "Danger Jones violet" she used to see if anyone else had a similar experience. Turns out, that color isn't meant to fade to lavender at all. It is intended to fade into blue. She sent me an appointment time for the following day and told me it would be $120-$180 to fix. That was a huge slap in the face! Why am I being charged full price to fix a mistake I didn't make? I'm not a hairstylist, but yet I was able to spend 30 seconds online and determine she purposely put a product in my hair that is intended to fade to blue. Rather she knew that I don't know. You would think, as a licensed cosmetologist, you would research products before applying them to your clients' hair! Especially when they've voiced concern and intention for their color to eventually fade into lavender. Now my blonde is several shades of blue, green and gray. I've called the salon to speak with the owner, I'm told she's unavailable each time. I tried messaging her on Facebook, but my message is still delivered. I really hope she sees this review and is able to offer some sort of solution as my hair is ruined and gets worse with each wash. Brittany did a great job with my daughter’s hair and all the ladies working were very sweet to her. My daughter is 3 and a diva lol so it was greatly appreciated.

I highly recommend this salon! Everyone is extremely friendly, and welcoming. Madison does my hair, and she always does an amazing job, I’ve been to a few other stylists and she’s the only one who’s been able to deal with the texture of my hair!!! It’s been a few times I’ve had to make last minute appointments and she always finds a way to fit me in. I always leave feeling like a brand new person, there is no other salon I would recommend more than Salon Rustique!!

Today was my first time here. I chose Andrea because she was available at the time I needed. She did an excellent job!! I showed her a picture for reference but I wanted my own hair a little different so she showed me some color swatches and asked different questions to make sure she knew what I was hoping for. Very detailed and thorough! I had a great experience and will be back for my future hair needs. Thanks Andrea!

Andrea is phenomenal. I love my look she gives every time. I sit in her styling chair and she get to work making me beautiful again. She is super personable and really funny. Thank you Andrea your amazingly gifted.
