Pioneer Nail & Spa Ridgefield

Went in for the first time yesterday and it was not a great experience. First, I booked with someone and was put with someone else. Then, I got my nails done, paid and left. Good thing I only went right over to Starbucks because two of them broke within five minutes. I went back in, and they put me with someone else to fix them. She couldn’t do it, so I was moved to someone else (I am in an immobility brace mind you). Turns out the gel builder didn’t cure properly (to which they blamed me for placing my hands in the light wrong????) and told me I was the first one to EVER have an issue with the gel (thanks??). They were not friendly about the fix, I felt like I was the inconvenience, and they were most likely speaking about me the entire time it was being fixed. Additionally, none of my nails in my right hand match the size or length on the left and there are bubbles all in the gel. I asked for a refund & haven’t heard anything back even though they’re active online posting photos. 0/10. Would never go back. Update three days later. More nails chipping because of the awful job that was done. Still no word from the shop. Update: leas than two weeks later. The nails are literally just coming off. $80 later for nails that barely lasted a day, let alone 1 week and 3 days. Absolutely disgusting. Do not go here.

Today was my birthday so I came into get my nails done, had an appointment at 11. My first experience was 5 stars but this time I was displeased. I’m too shy too say I didn’t like my nails.. because the nail tech was closed off and didn’t seem friendly… left my hands dry and some of them look like they’re curved in like a C” at the tip, I asked for square… just don’t come unless Jay who I think is the owner does your nails.. $80 service no I didn’t tip.

Im normally so happy with them!!!! I had a new tech today, the shape is so off and the tortoise shell look does not match with the other nails at all. Also I dont like when the profile shape swoops up 😭😭😭 I expressed my wants to her but it is what it is.

James literally does the most incredible nails. He is so talented and always makes my nails look better than I envisioned! It’s such a good vibe here. My favorite nail spot!!

4 star only cause the price was shocking. 5 star for service 5 star for atmosphere 5 star for cleanliness I loved my nail tech she was super sweet! I went in the day before my wedding and got the simple foot pedicure with gel nail polish. Then I asked for acrylic with French manicure. I really liked the vibe of the place and my nail tech was super kind and helpful. When I saw the acrylic powder going to be super pink I asked her to please change it cause I preferred something less pink since I didn’t have pink in my wedding. She was helpful and didn’t mind removing it :) She put this beautiful chrome powder and it looked great in pictures!! The only con was when I was getting ready to pay I paid $95 for acrylic. Thats insane. Needless to say I LOVED my nails and got so many comments. I will be back cause the quality of these nails are AMAZING!!
