Solace Nail Spa Alexandria VA

I had to have an emergency wax appointment and thought to stop by to see if they could take me in. The sweetest lady, Helen approached me and walked me through the several different options that would fit what I needed. I had one of the most comfortable experiences with her. She was very gentle, we got to know each other in the process and she even told me about the different wax types she’s worked with. The one thing i appreciated is that despite me being a frequent waxer, I try not to shave my legs unless I have no choice cause of pop up things, she noticed my hair grew in different directions so she waxed each section the the direction of growth which got all of the hair out, which was amazing, giving me the most smooth baby skin feel and she did all this in like 45 min lol. I normally go to European wax center, I have a wax package there, but they never seem to listen to you cause they’re so worried about the time and not the result of the service. I’m not saying every aesthetician there is like this, but Helen reminded me of a few wonderful ladies I have had great experiences with in the past. Being new to this area, it was very pleasant. I will definitely be back. Thank you Helen!!!

My mom and I came in for massages last Sunday, December 7, and we ended up waiting over 20 minutes. Apparently, the masseuse was still waiting for her ride at the exact time that we were scheduled to meet. On top of that, the front desk did not come over to the massage room to update us—we had to walk over several times to ask for updates. She was not apologetic at all. Because my mother and I were scheduled for massages by the same person, we had blocked off two hours of our time for this. Ultimately, we ended up cancelling since we only planned to be there for a set period of time. When we told the host that we will cancel because we had prior arrangements, she simply said ‘okay’ in a very rude way and didn’t offer any apology or support. I know this employee doesn’t reflect Solace Spa as an institution, but the treatment and service that we were provided was unprofessional and distasteful. It is disheartening to not feel valued or respected as a paying customer who was very eager for this appointment.

Amy was a very jovial and cheerful individual, and I am delighted to inform you that I will be visiting her regularly for manicures. This establishment is highly recommended. I wholeheartedly recommend it and would rate it 10 out of 10. Amy was exceptionally gentle and attentive, and I am confident that this will not be my last visit.

Helene is an absolute rock star! She has great recommendations and treats clients like family. She is welcoming, funny, and a great person to talk to. I’ve also used several other nail artists at Solace, and they’re all great. Highly recommend this spa!
