Casal's de' Spa & Salon - Canfield

Someone needs to give the owners of Casal’s Spa & Salon in Canfield a serious reality check — this place is nothing like it was in the early 2000s. It used to feel polished, busy, and high-end. Now it’s practically empty on a Saturday, and it’s not hard to see why. The front desk staff were rude, condescending, and totally unprofessional. Even worse, they were openly making rude and inappropriate comments about their own manager, Gina, right in front of customers. That kind of behavior says everything about the culture there now. Casal’s once set the standard for professionalism in the area — now it feels like a business that’s completely lost its pride and direction. The owners should seriously hold a team meeting and remind their staff what professionalism looks like. The photo attached was taken on 10/11/2025 at 1 pm EST. The salon is empty.

5 stars for the amazing hairstylist I see at the Canfield location. Absolutely amazing. However, if I could give a dual score for this place, I’d rate some of the front desk staff at the 1-star level. Sometimes, there is somebody working who will be extremely nice and helpful. (That’s good, but it’s also the bare minimum of how clients should be greeted and assisted.) Other times, I find myself dealing with people who act put off if you need to buy products from the shelves (or if you have a question, or need to check in, etc.). I wish I had caught her name, but there is one woman will literally just stand there and stare at you. Very uncomfortable if you’re just looking for products, etc. She won’t ask if you need help. She’ll just stand there and STARE. It’s making me want to do only online orders. Maybe I will have to do that! Problem solved, I suppose, but it doesn’t make it more convenient than just stopping in when I need something. I’m just not into the weirdness vibe I get from that front desk sometimes, lol.

I had Tracy for my massage. Got the back and facial massage plus a back scrub. It was amazing! I walked out of there so relaxed and rejuvenated!

Jillian is amazing. I have had my hair done by many people but no one cuts hair like her. She listens to what you want and delivers. Something I love about her is that she is the only one to do my hair the entire time- never hands me off to an assistant. She’s thorough & wonderful & sweet. I can’t wait to be back.

I sent my fiance here, the woman that did her eyebrows did a phenomenal job. Izzy, that did her hair, was apparently not interested in doing what was asked. As well as, kept pushing for services that my fiance didn't want.
