Mi's Nail Spa

UPDATE: I visited Mi’s Nails again and was not disappointed. They’re all so friendly and sweet there. I asked the woman who did my pedicure for an accent design; she painted a snowflake. 11/10! By far the best pedicure I’ve ever had. My girl Fah did a fantastic job, was so sweet and patient. All the scrubs and lotions and leg masks combined with an absolutely AMAZING massage chair was exactly what I needed. It’s very clean and orderly (just check out the wall made of gel polishes) and the new building looks gorgeous. 10/10

What was good: Clean place. What was bad: I got a deluxe pedicure and gel manicure. The deluxe was really bad. The callus scrub was a gentle wipe of the tool against my foot and the extra cost “massage” was just a latex rub down as the person vigorously rubbed globs of lotion on my legs while wearing thick rubber gloves for 30min. Three different times I asked for more pressure but nothing changed. Truly she was just rubbing her hands around my legs. Unfortunately I was just annoyed and uncomfortable rather than relaxed the whole time. This continued with the manicure. The tech was not just gentle but weak. She held my fingers so softly in a way that I had to keep my hands/fingers’ muscles engaged so they would separate and not be on top of each other and ruin the paint (not sure if that description makes sense but it was annoying). Again the massage was just a rub of lotion, the polish missed the sides although the lines are very clean. I feel guilty writing this but it’s the honest experience, I will go back to southern village rather than return here.

I recently moved to the area and was nervous about finding a new nail tech. After reading all the glowing reviews I decided to make an appointment at Mi’s Nails and they did not disappoint! Paw did a great job with my dip manicure. She took her time, was gentle and precise. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was relaxing. I will definitely be coming back!

I have been going to another spa for over 15 years (pedicures). I was okay with prices going up (a lot!) but when they started saying they wouldn’t work on callouses unless I got the $85 package, I knew I had to look elsewhere. I am a runner, so that is one of the main reasons I need a pedicure. I was THRILLED to find Mi’s. I live in downtown chapel hill, but this is just as fast a drive straight down 15-501. I have never noticed the place because the buildings open away from the highway. Completely reasonable prices and what a fabulous job! Great space. Clean, calm, nice vibe and wonderfully pleasant people. I am sooo happy to found them and will be back again!!!

Great experience for my first gel pedicure! It was my first time at this salon, and I had a really good experience. Everyone was very friendly, and they did an amazing job with my gel pedicure. My nails look great! The prices are fair and similar to other places. I’ll definitely be coming back.
