I had the absolute pleasure of taking the Electrology and Laser Hair Removal course at Dolly Monroe Beauty Academy in Tampa, and I can’t recommend it enough! From day one, I felt welcomed in a class full of amazing people of all ages — and at no point did I feel behind. The instructors are true professionals who know how to keep you engaged while making the learning process fun and inspiring. You quickly become more than classmates; you become a small family that cheers each other on every step of the way. I truly enjoyed every moment — from the learning, to the connections, to passing my exam on the first try (if that doesn’t speak volumes about the team, I don’t know what does!). I will definitely miss this course and the wonderful people I met along the way. A huge thank you to Dolly Monroe and her incredible team for creating such a supportive, empowering environment! 💖✨

I am so glad I chose this school to attend! The hybrid classes make it so much easier to get the education you desire while fitting into your schedule. Ms. Anna teaching us esthetics has been so amazing! She is wealth of knowledge with years of experience to help us better understand the real world once we graduate. She makes everyday in class learning new things fun and I actually want to come to school. I was nervous about going back to school after years of being out, but I am blessed she is my instructor and if everyone was encouraging like her more people would attend. Thanks DMBA 🫶🏼💄

I recently completed the Electrology/Laser program and I can’t say enough about how great the entire experience was! The hybrid classroom was very flexible for my schedule and the workload felt manageable. The price and payment options for covering the cost of schooling were very flexible as well. The teachers/staff are wonderful too and you can tell that everyone there is passionate, professional and dedicated to creating a safe and accepting environment for the students. I’m grateful to have had Mrs. Dolly herself as my teacher and felt heard and cared for in the classroom. The personal nature of being hands on with her gave me the confidence I needed when performing services, and I always felt like I had support. After graduating, I was of course very anxious for my license exam but had the tools to walk in and knock it out of the park!! I highly encourage anyone who is seeking to get licensed to consider enrolling here!! ❤️

I struggled writing this review only because I have SO much that I gained from this program. First, Ms. Dolly as an instructor is super patient and very attentive every step of the way. I was in a multi-ethnic class with some students translating to English as their second language without difficulty understanding. This course requires you to show up and do the work, but if you do those things, you are wholly prepared for working independently on clients. Employers can feel confident hiring DMBA graduates, and students can feel confident being solo-preneurs if they desire. The hands-on portion and extensive time in clinical application really made the transition into treating my own clients very easy. As far as testing goes, you tackle the hard stuff first, and practice it during each class, so that by the time you get to end, you have a true understanding of what’s happening and why. I highly recommend this program to anyone seeking a nurturing, professional environment to grow and acquire new skills.

Miss Anna has been the best instructor here at Dolly Monroe. She is kind, funny and truly cares about the lives and education of her students. She is patient and positive and makes me feel safe as a student to freely ask questions and get the most out of what we learn. She is a great instructor, mentor and Esthetician. I am grateful to have been taught by her, she made my experience amazing!
