CURLY GIRLS: Darlene at Pure Bliss is amazing! This was my first professional curly cut. I was very nervous since I’ve never had this done before. My friend recommended Darlene who is the highest level Deva Curl stylist in Delaware. Darlene immediately addressed my concerns. She asked about me and my routine. She told me exactly what she was going to do and showed me before starting. I felt very comfortable. After cutting half of my hair, she turned me to show me the difference in my new cut and old cut. What a difference! When she washed my hair she showed me each product she used and explained it’s benefit. I am going to give Deva curl products a change again because of her. My hair felt so clean and hydrated at the same time. She really took her time with each curl. Checked EVERY angle to make sure each individual curl was in place. I have never had so much attention and detail to my curls. When it was done and I saw my new cut I almost cried. Darlene truly has a special talent. If you are having any anxiety about your curls or want to go natural. Darlene is your person! She has lots of knowledge about curls and is very kind. No judgement! She truly wants to help people learn about their curls. Definitely will be going back. I’m so happy I found my permanent hair stylists.

I visited Pure Bliss salon for the first and last time shortly before Christmas. I had a last-minute party invitation and couldn’t get in with my regular stylist at the Aveda salon in Rehoboth, so I figured in an emergency, how bad could another Aveda salon be? I found out: Bad. I asked the stylist at Pure Bliss to blend my roots in with my subtle, thin, medium blond highlights. I warned her that my hair processes quickly. The stylist put the minimal amount of foils in my hair (the entire foil process only took 20 minutes where it should have taken one hour), made big, gross highlights, left me processing too long as she went to eat from the salon’s Christmas potluck, and left me with roots an inch long. When she styled my hair, she hid the overprocessed strands so I wouldn’t notice while at the salon. I surely noticed as soon as I got home and brushed my hair. I was charged $190 for these horrific highlights and a cut and had to spend another $150 with my regular stylist to fix them. Never again. If you are trying to decide between the two Aveda salons in the Lewes/Rehoboth area, do yourself a favor and drive into Rehoboth beach.

We are in the area on vacation and found Pure Bliss online. And what a find!! Natalie is amazing and I enjoyed a wonderful relaxing pedicure. The salon was so comfortable and welcoming. I will definitely return and tell friends and family!!
