Clear Waters Salon & Day Spa

I had a great experience inside Clearwater Salon — my stylist was wonderful, and this is not a bad review about them personally. However, I was really disappointed by the business practices. After my appointment and after I was home for a couple hours, I was told I had been “undercharged,” and instead of the salon taking responsibility for their own mistake, I received a call asking me to pay the remaining amount over the phone. I did pay it at the time, but looking back, I wish I hadn’t. The situation was barely explained to me, and I was left confused about how or why the error happened. It feels upsetting that a company wouldn’t honor the amount they originally charged at checkout and would instead call a customer after the fact to collect more money. Mistakes happen, but the way this was handled did not feel like good customer service or a good business practice.

I went here for a pedicure while visiting Lake Geneva for the weekend. I had a reservation and they took me promptly for my appointment time. They make you put a down payment on booking the appointment, which ends up being half the price of the service. This place was ok, however I was not overly impressed. I had nail polish on my toes from before, and they didn’t really do a great job of getting all of it removed. It was a darker color and some of my toes looked like they just painted a lighter color over. I am also used to places being able to do no-chip on your toes. This place can only do regular nail polish on toes. The price seemed comparable to other salons I have been to. Their location is also hard to find if you are not aware that their salon is inside another big building with other shared businesses. I walked around for a while trying to find it. I’ll probably just stick to my usual nail salon next time.

The atmosphere is really nice and the staff was super friendly. The manicurist seemed very undertrained. Applied oils and lotions before gel polish which is not typical to ensure polish stays for at least 2 weeks. Only provided basic filing and cuticle push back. The quality of polish application was poor. It was uneven, didn’t cover the whole nail in certain spots, and was on my skin afterward. I didn’t realize how poor the polish application was until after I left. I probably ahold have gone back in. I may try here again for the med services but would not come back for nail services. After reviewing their page, it appears that they don’t have specific nail technicians and their staff provides nail services when they aren’t doing hair.

I had scheduled a consultation and was told by James he would be able to do the perm and he would have to by the material to do it on Friday ,to plan to be there 2-3 hr on Saturday, I called 40 minutes before my appt was told I wasn't on the schedule, and they would call me back was never called back . I called back to be told by the rude receptionist we don't do what your looking for and that James is busy with his client . What was the point of the consultation? And why waste my time to plan this day? The least they could have done is have informed they would not be doing my perm instead of just going about their day and not having any regard for the customer.

My daughter and I came to this salon for hair style and make up for a special event. I’ve had my hair and make up done MANY times for an event but the first time here. It was the worst experience. WAY over priced - and beginner level staff. It was a terrible start to our day. I’d post pictures but they’re to embarrassing. Had to come home and FINISH / redo our hair and make up!! Do not recommend!!
