****UPDATE: I went back right after I posted the review, asked for Cathy, and had a MUCH better experience! 2 weeks post appointment and the gel has held up and Cathy took her time prepping my nails I saw someone post about using the same technician as I did and having an almost identical experience. I’m new to the area and looking for my hole nail salon- Golden Nails is close to me and I read through reviews prior to going. I had a great experience with the spa pedicure and was also getting a gel manicure. I’ve been getting gel for several years and like the other poster, I am a bit disappointed. At first, the manicure was fine, I left thinking my nail shape was a bit funky but nothing I couldn’t live with and the technician was so kind. But I’m just a weak post manicure and it appears as if my nails were prepped properly. The gel is peeling and lifting from the sides of my nails and it looks as if I’ve had this gel for weeks. I’ve never had my gel do this on my nails so I’m Not sure if nail prep was incomplete or if it was rushed to make room for new clients. I’ve done nothing out of my routine and for my nails to be doing this just a week after is frustrating— not to mention having to pay for this type of quality. I’m going to try a new technician and hope the experience is better.

I usually come here because the staff always knows what color I’m looking for. Last time I came they didn’t have the color I wanted because they said it was discontinued. And I was looking for the color they did last time to my nails. Every time when I come here I show them a picture and they exactly know the color I want. So I chose another color. The next day I didn’t like the color on me so I went back to change the color. The store manager “Katherine” told me to choose another color and I need to pick one I told I needed help picking a color because I wanted a lighter color. They didn’t want to help me and yelled at me to pick my own color. Mind you the whole time this was happening the store manager was yelling at me when I was 3 feet away from her. I wasn’t even yelling at all and was talking to her in a normal low tone. The lady that did my nails found the color I was looking for and it was the same one I did last time. But the point the store manager didn’t have to yell at me she scared me and made me cry the whole time the nail tech was doing my nails I was crying. The store manger was being rude to me. she told me if you don’t choose a color go to another store. Also when this was happening at the time when i was at the register front desk when they told me to pay before they did my nails. Where usually all customers pay after their nails are done. There was another nail tech at the front desk while I was paying and I assumed she was taking a picture of me when I looked all teared up I told her she was taking a picture of me. She got upset and shoved and waved the phone straight to my face showing that she wasn’t taking a picture of me. But the way she was acting towards a customer was not professional at all. The point is the manager and the nail tech who shoved her phone is face was being rude. The whole experience was a nightmare. I’m pretty sure they know I won’t be coming back and happy about losing me as a customer. The way they treated me was terrible.

I went in to get a dip manicure on 9/10/25. However the technician put gel manicure over the dip. Within two days it started to chip and crack. I called to speak to the manager. I told the manager what happened. She said I could come in and get fixed. I came in within 5 days and all the tech did was file the edges to shape away where the chips were. However, within two days, because the gel was not properly applied it still continued to chip and actually caused painful damage to my nails as the chip went down layers to where the gel inlay was applied. Again, I paid for dip not gel. I came back within 7 days of my initial purchase and the tech attempted to fix 3 nails that were badly affected by the chipping, including my own nail split due to the widen cracks. I even tipped this technician. Again, in two days more chips because the gel wasn’t sealed properly. Now, another nail was badly split and painful. I don’t even work with my hands to the extent that it’d be a result of that. On 9/20, I attempted to get the chips fixed. The manager complained and said it’d been two weeks and I came in before on this issue. I politely reminded her that it had not in fact been two weeks and that I’ve gotten dip here prior with no problem, and dips at other nail places with no cracking issues. I do not know why the tech decided to use gel inlay/overlays and didn’t seal it correctly. However, it’s 1.my hard earned money and I spent here, 2.It’s embarrassing to walk around as a grown professional woman with cracked nails, and 3.It’s caused actual painful and split damage to at least two of my nails. Today 9/23, I finally asked for a refund- it hasn’t even been two weeks and the nails have been damaged. The manager yelled at me and hung up on me several times when I called back and attempted to work the issue out. Called my bank to dispute, writing a review here and another local Facebook page group to warn potential customers. FYI- The other two complaints here regarding gel manicures chipping in the last two months are completely accurate- do not go here for gel manicures and the customer service is not good as the manager hung up on me several times when I called a finally just asked for a refund.

UPDATE: I've been coming here regularly and I am so happy I found this nail salon. The service is always great. The quality of their work is amazing. My dipping powder manicure lasts me 3.5 to 4 weeks. Very clean place, nice staff and they did a great job with a pedicure and a dipping powder manicure. Reasonably priced for the area. They get busy, so reservation is recommended.
