Solace Day Spa Chantilly VA

I’ve been coming to this salon for a while now, and it’s absolutely worth the 30-minute drive every time! The atmosphere is always welcoming, clean, and relaxing. Helen, in particular, is amazing—she’s so friendly, attentive, and truly cares about making sure you leave happy. She takes her time, listens to what you want, and makes the whole experience enjoyable. I can’t recommend this place enough, especially if you’re looking for someone who goes above and beyond. Thank you, Helen, for always making my visits such a great experience!

The staff were all incredibly friendly and professional, making me feel welcome and well taken care of. I had my usual mani & pedi - it was truly exceptional. Hally Tran, is absolutely amazing! Her skill and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire session. Her technique was perfect, she really listened to what I wanted and the end result was perfect. Updated: I came back 3 weeks later to get another set done, and unfortunately the service was not good. I came in asking for Jelly Cat and was told it wasn’t an option, but eventually found out that it was. With that being the case, I decided I would get a similar set as I did last time, which was dip with sparkly French tips costing me $75, but instead with red French tips. The dip process went okay, a little thicker than I would’ve liked, but it looks good. Once we started on the French tips, they were looking extremely thick, and I ask them to look more like the photo I had shared with them from the beginning. Even though I was getting the exact same manicure as I got three weeks prior, they were telling me that it was going to be $10-$15 more expensive than I paid last time. I called them out on it because I had literally just come. I shared a picture of the bank statement and the review that I had posted. They told me that the price difference was because the tips were red and not silver, even though the material is exactly the same. From then on, they were extremely rude, and made me extremely uncomfortable. A nail salon experience is supposed to be relaxing, and that is the exact opposite of what I experienced. Unfortunately, I didn’t love the outcome of my nails. They have red stains on the edges where red is not supposed to be and on my skin. It was extremely upsetting to come back another time and experience such poor service after enjoying my first visit, and hoping I had found a nail salon. I could continue to come back to.

My husband and I had a great experience at Solace last week. First time there, didn’t have an appointment we enjoyed the service.

I came here for the first time today and I was pretty disappointed. I asked for a regular pedicure with callus remover and buff shine. The lady who did my pedicure did an awful job. She did not get all my previous polish off and knicked me multiple times despite me saying ouch and physically pulling away when she cut too deep. She didn't acknowledge my pain or apologize. She put searing hot towels on my legs even knowing I asked for mild - warm water and specifically said I don't want anything to be hot at the very start. She ground my toe nails down paper thin and now they are overly sensitive. She also kept filing and buffing my skin and missing the nail entirely. My toes keep snagging on everything, socks, sheets, etc. I had to file the edge down myself when I got home. Not to mention that she cut my toenails very crookedly with a cuticle cutter. I was highly uncomfortable in the chair and she took a very long time to complete my pedicure even though I asked for no polish and a buff shine. She didn't tell me it would be $10 more for buff shine until right before she buffed them, at the end. She did not get my ingrowns either which was the most urgent reason for needing a pedicure. I did not ask her to do it when she skipped over it because she had already knicked me so many times. Most places don't need to be told and take care of it when they see it. She spent a lot of time doing a "callus removal" but my heels feel even rougher than before. I will not be going back to this place again.
