This was my first time at the nail salon and their services are unmatched! Susie did an AMAZING job with my nails- she is very friendly and polite! John did my pedicure and his services were top tier and the massage was mind blowing! If you have not tried this place, I strongly recommend you do, you won’t regret it!

I’ve been coming to Nails of New York for about 4 months now. I have had nothing but the best experience - comfort, detail, passion, kindness, hospitality, conversation - these ladies do everything spot on. When I first came here, they recommended I start “builder gel” to grow my natural nails. I always stick to pink, french tip, neutrals, etc. and would ruin my natural nails at other salons getting acrylic. My nails are now healthier than they have ever been! I’m so happy with not only their service but the way they’ve taken care of my hands. They are careful with my cuticles, careful when filing, and make sure i’m getting exactly what I want. Today, Sandra did my manicure and Kacey did my pedicure - they did exceptional. I had Kaylee do my builder gel manicure each time I came, but she was off today - and even though I had never worked with these two ladies, they did an AMAZING job. I trust every person at this salon, and you should too. I will keep coming here no matter where I live - it’s worth it!

I had my nails done at this salon three times before I finally decided not to return. While the nails usually looked nice and lasted for weeks, I believe the salon needs to pay much more attention to hygiene. The last visit was the final straw. The owner, Jasmine, did my nails that day. Instead of soaking off the old acrylics properly, she started pulling them off with her hands and using random tools carelessly. It was extremely painful—I asked her to stop because she was pulling off layers of my natural nails, but she didn’t listen and just said she was “almost done.” She even used nail clippers to yank them off, which left my natural nails cracked and badly damaged. Communication was also difficult, as her English is very limited. Whenever I tried to explain, she would only give one-word answers. When she began applying the gel polish, I experienced severe burning as soon as my nails went under the UV light. I screamed from the pain, but instead of addressing the issue, she told me to “bear it and blow on them,” then blamed me for having “unhealthy, thin nails.” In reality, they were damaged because of the improper removal method she had used just minutes earlier. This was by far the most painful and unprofessional nail experience I’ve ever had, and for that reason I will never go back.
