Model Nails

EDIT TO ADD: they have reached out to me and issued me a refund. I have never left a bad review for anywhere before, but they were very pushy about me leaving a review and this experience was so bad that I want to give others a warning. Here are pictures of what I asked for vs what I got. Me and my sister went there yesterday and had not been there before. The man doing my nails started by saying that almond nails would suit the design better. He spent almost an hour filing and shaping my nails before even starting on the polish. None of my nails were the same length and none of them were shaped correctly. By the end of the appointment, 3 of my fingers were bleeding. He acknowledged that he cut me and apologized but proceeded to take out the cuticle oil, use the brush applicator along my bloody cuticles, and put the bloody brush back in to the bottle to be used again!! Once it was all done, I had been there for almost 2 hours and didn’t have the time to have them redo it or try to fix it (I also didn’t trust them at this point to continue to work on my nails) as we had an hour drive home and I had to get back to my daughter. He checked me out for my nails and said he was going to give me a free cuticle oil to make up for cutting me. When I got in the car, my sister told me that she also got a free cuticle oil from a different artist. So I assume this was not some special courtesy thing but instead was him just trying to quickly smooth things over. I went home and immediately went to another nail salon to have these soaked off and redone. The nail salon I went to (along with other family/friends) agreed that this was one of the worst sets of nails they have seen… I am out $60 (plus more for having them redone by another salon) and all I have to show for my visit here is scabs around my nails. They also were very pushy with my sister while she was waiting for me to be done. They asked her to leave a google review and kept refreshing google to see her review. Even going as far as to question her as to why it wasn’t showing up and trying to walk her through how to leave the review/questioning if she did it correctly. She is only 14.

Sam did my nails and did a phenomenal job!! I live in PA and came to this nail salon on a whim and will be coming back the next time I visit SC! Thank you so much Sam and Model Nails for such an amazing experience!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Outstanding service from Sam at Model Nails I recently visited Model Nails in Anderson and had the pleasure of having Sam as my technician — and I left more than satisfied. From start to finish, the experience was professional, friendly, and precise. What stood out: • Attentive & responsive: I walked in disappointed because another salon had botched my nails. Sam listened carefully to what I wanted, understood the issues, and reassured me he could fix it. True to his word, he made everything look clean, even, and polished. (The salon’s Chamber listing even mentions a “big shout out to Sam for fixing this mess of my nails that another shop made.”)  • Speed + precision: Despite the complexity of correcting someone else’s work, Sam worked efficiently without cutting corners. He delivered quality in good time. • Friendly & communicative: Sam explained each step and checked in to make sure I was happy with the shape, length, and finish. It felt like real collaboration, not just a one-way service. • Clean environment: The salon itself is comfortable and well kept — clean stations, pleasant lighting, organized tools — which adds confidence going into any nail service. Room for improvement: • Pricing wasn’t discussed upfront in my case. For those who are price-conscious, it might help if Sam (or the salon) clearly states cost estimates before beginning. • During particularly busy periods, there might be a rush or slight wait. That is common in good salons, though; it didn’t affect my experience with Sam. Overall: If you’re looking for someone who will genuinely care about your nails, correct mistakes, and leave you walking out feeling happy, I highly recommend asking for Sam at Model Nails. I’ll definitely be back — and I hope Sam is available next time, too.

Sam!! Is the absolute best. The time spent at his shop was very relaxing, and he was so professional. I came in the shop telling him what colors I want, and he took it above and beyond to make sure my nails were fabulous before walking out of the shop. THANKS SAM

Edit. My toes chipped literally a day later , like 3 of them and I have gel…. Came here once, needed a quick pedicure and they did such a good job!!! Really look their time and a cute little salon. Quiet & Relaxing! Manicures …. Take a Crazy long time, which for me I don’t like sitting for nails forever 2.5 hrs ( everyone is different) I don’t think I could ever do my nails here because but my toes are cute!!
