Shimmer Spa

Walking into Shimmer Spa is like walking out of Alamogordo. From the moment you open the door it's like you have left town for a luxury getaway. I'm always impressed that something so fancy exists here. I have been seeing Melissa for massage for more years than I can count and while that is the only service that I receive at the spa, it has never stopped anyone from being friendly and welcoming to me upon arrival. I am always welcomed when I walk in the door, often by name, I am promptly cared for and comfortably seated while I wait for my sweet Melissa. As for the massage, the best ever!!! I try to go at least once a month. There is absolutely no match for quality, affordability and care that I receive from Melissa and everyone at Shimmer Spa.

Had called the same day I made the appointment to fix the time and change the wax from a lip to an eyebrow which I mistakenly put. Nobody got back with me. They canceled my appointment 10 mins after the time I was suppose to arrive along with the other 2 appointments I made for my daughters. I will not be recommending them to anyone I know. Even though i feel bad because I have heard nothing but good things about the ladies that cut hair there. The team they work for has trash communication and the fact they dont have someone to answer phones is annoying. All this could have been avoided if someone would have answered the phone or returned my call!

I have been going to Shimmer for the past 10 years. I scheduled an appointment and I received a message saying it would be canceled bc they are not seeing new clients. I informed them I’m not new then, they told me I have numerous no calls/no shows so would need to prepay for all appointments. I let them know prepay is not a concern, however I am concerned that you have my account flagged incorrectly bc I do not have multiple no shows/no calls and would not do that as a business owner. They let me know it was ok to take my business elsewhere because they have several colleagues in the area and they go to them as well. Disappointed!

This was my first experience at a spa and I am definitely coming back! Shimmer Spa creates such a relaxing and calming environment. I am so thankful that this experience was so comforting. This spa offers exactly what you need! Melissa is outstanding and goes out of her way to deliver the best service.

For several years I’ve gone to Melissa once a month for massages, and if I could afford it I’d go every day. I always feel so relaxed when I leave Shimmer!
