Christmas Farm Inn and Spa

Our stay at the Christmas Farm Inn was nothing short of superb! The really pretty Sleigh cottage with its 2 bedrooms and 2 baths was perfect. A lovely gas fireplace made us cozy and kept us warm. What allowed our stay to soar was the outstanding staff! From the moment we arrived Moriah welcomed us with smiles, instructions, suggestions, and kindness. David, our bartender, was extraordinary in his professionalism and genteel manner. He was conversational, interesting, and fun. Together, Rob and I enjoyed 4 uniquely formulated cocktails, each with a story. (So glad we were close by and could walk to our cottage.) We’re not sure everyone gets to talk to the chef when they dine, but we did have the pleasure and found John Irving, VI, to be yet another exceptional staff person. With great passion for his craft, he detailed his culinary techniques and enlightened us for a new journey in our cooking. Dessert? Oh yes, and we met Madison, the amazing baker of our special chocolate lava cookie!

I had a lovely time at our couples weekend away. I accidentally booked a regular room thinking I was booking the room with the fireplace & hot tub in the room. While that was 100% my error, the website had both links right next to each other & I didn’t think there was a difference. We asked the front desk if they had the fireplace room available which unfortunately they did not. They did offer another room but we liked ours better so I appreciate their attempt to accommodate regardless. The hot tub in the pool area was a little uninviting due to not looking 100% clean but nothing extreme. Service at the restaurant was very accommodating as well. My husband really did not enjoy a dish & they were kind enough to remove it from the bill with no fuss. The environment was super cute. The spa staff were very accommodating & friendly. The only real “downside” was the walls in the family barn where we stayed are pretty thin so could hear a child crying, car doors slamming, a girls trip partying. That was it though. All in all would go again

Loved our night here! The staff were very friendly and helpful. It is CHARMING without being cheesy or over the top! If you’re expecting a super modern hotel with all of the bells and whistles, please go stay somewhere else. This place is made for coziness and comfort. It’s an older facility but well maintained and clean. It’s like staying at your grandparents - big comfy beds and lots of pillows (good pillows, too!). The grounds are gorgeous - fire pit and walking paths. Zero regrets in choosing to stay here instead of a cookie-cutter hotel.

The Christmas Farm Inn has a beautiful, cozy atmosphere that really captures the holiday feel, and that was easily the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the restaurant fell short in almost every other category, especially considering the price. Service was a bit underwhelming for the cost of the dinner. Not terrible, but definitely not at the level you’d expect for a Thanksgiving meal priced at $79 per plate. We ordered the Turkey and Prime Rib meals, hoping for something special, but the food was disappointing. The pumpkin soup was actually pretty good, but everything else felt lackluster. The entrées didn’t come close to the quality you would expect at this price point, and the desserts seemed slapped together with very little care. This was my first time having Thanksgiving dinner out, and honestly, my friends’ parents; none of whom are chefs and served far better meals at home. To put things into perspective, our next three meals combined didn’t even add up to the cost of this one dinner, and those meals included plenty of lobster. That really shows how off the value was. I can’t speak for the stay or the spa, but when it comes to the restaurant, I’d recommend staying away, especially for holiday meals. The setting is charming, but the food and service simply don’t justify the price.

We had a beautiful wedding at Christmas Farm this summer. Kayla was a very helpful and attentive planner throughout the process, and our day-of event coordinator, Jen was a delightful and fun person to celebrate with. Many kind staff worked hard in the background to keep things afloat. We are appreciative, and we highly recommend Christmas Farm for special events.
