Edit: Received an email from Paige, the manager of this location. She was very professional, courteous, and apologized for my experience. She offered a full refund and invited me to come back for a complimentary service should I return to Saint Paul. I greatly appreciated the excellent customer service I received from Paige. A full refund was received and I am left feeling better about the experience - even though my hair was a disaster for the concert. Amending my star rating from 1 to 3 due to the refund and apology. Thank you! Worst experience I have had in a salon. Receptionist was friendly and kind. Went while on a very special trip to see my favorite band perform. Note that I don't do this often, and having my hair done special was a huge treat to myself. Shannon was my stylist. I tried to initiate conversation with her, and she wasn't very personable. When it came to my hair, I explained my hair is very stubborn and doesnt hold curl well. I told her I would need lots of product to guarantee hold. I told her I wanted volume in my hair as well.. I was booked for an hour. I was out in 35ish minutes. Had slight curl, little to no hairspray to hold it I asked if she got my cowlick , she said yes... but didn't bother to show me or offer to show me the back of my hair. I didn't get to look until I was in my hotel getting ready for the concert. The curl was gone and my cowlicks were extremely noticeable. Absolutely zero volume. Overall, it felt rushed and like she didn't care this was special for me. Extremely disappointed and disheartened. I left a nice tip, too, out of kindness. Do not go here. Pick somewhere else. Would like at least a partial refund. I sent pictures to an email provided by phone, but have had no response.

Once upon a time, I had a hairstylist I loved-- and then he left me to go work at a men's salon. I was heartbroken, bereft, wandering from stylist to stylist, salon to salon, hoping. My hair became waist length as I just gave up on finding a stylist. Enter Accolades and Alexis. Came in to have the big chop done. Salon was clean, cheerful, I was greeted kindly and offered a beverage. Alexis promptly appeared and we began my ~*~ hair journey ~*~. Every snick of the scissors brought relief and, as always when removing a ton of hair, fear. But Alexis was AMAZING. Kind, courteous, she checked in with me every step of the way. I had even requested a color consult, as Im contemplating coloring it now that its a more manageable length, and she was very upfront about recommending me to another stylist. It was so hard to not grin like a complete maniac as I sailed out of there. My hair looks SO CUTE you guys. 5/5, 10/10, its so soft, so adorable, so kicky and flirty but professional and sleek. Alexis is a treasure to be protected at all costs.

I had a fabulous hair color/highlights and hair cut done by Briana who is in advanced training. I love the atmosphere which is very warm and comfy not to mention the fabulous skin and hair products available. Everyone who works there is very kind.

Massage with Marc was fantastic! He is like a snake charmer for tense muscles and knots. He has a way of gently coaxing muscles into relaxation and is so professional! My only complaint is noise from the salon disrupting the otherwise relaxing experience. Maybe post a sign that others near the door of the massage room can see reminding them to keep their voices down? Otherwise, the benefit of the great massages Marc gives definately outweighs this minor complaint!

Try accolades!!! I tried this salon because of a Groupon I found (so glad I found it) I felt very welcomed and comfortable at this salon. It’s not the fanciest salon but I like that because it feels intimate/comfy. Also huge plus for the big parking lot in-front 👍 The staff were very kind, my stylist was professional and talented, and I honestly don’t have any complaints. I would definitely come here again and will tell my mom to try Accolades!
