Brand Nails

I believe this salon uses banned acrylic powder. I recently started getting an acrylic overlay here and noticed burning while curing. Today, the tech suggested I redo the set. Instead of soaking the acrylic off, he used a plastic tip to peel off the overlay. In the process, my nail ripped to the nail bed. I was on the verge of tears from pain. I immediately recognized the burning, removal technique, and the damage as signs that they use the illegal acrylic powder. He then said I could still get my nails done today. He was going to put acrylic on an open wound. I refused and told him I didn’t want anything done today. After all of this, I still paid for the service. Even though he apologized, there is no excuse to be using such a damaging powder with painful removal techniques. Even though this has been my go to salon for months, I will not be returning.

I have been going to get my nails done at this salon since the first of june of this year. The experience has always been pleasant. Until today. Not only did the person doing my nails begin clipping my nails back so short without asking me, she then tried to upsell me to acrylic nails, because the color that I selected at the beginning of the appointment, in my opinion, looks better on longer nails versus shorter nails. And since I am the person paying for this, my opinion matters. Typically, the visit ranged $75- $80 before tip. Today's experience cost me $110.00 before tip. They did not tell me that there was a price increase until it was time to pay. This experience, which in my opinion was not at all conducted in a manner I deem professional. The price increase covers their new computer system that they have installed and the free coca cola they offer you. Bad Business Alert ⚠️

Not certain of the name of the nail tech. But he wasn't very professional or focused on me, the client that was paying $80 for a service. He was on a video call the entire time he was working on my nails. I have a few nails that could use a redo. Rough spots and bubbles in my nails and paint. He did a manicure and the cuticles look worse now than they did. He caused several to bleed. I do not like giving bad reviews. But I do provide honest ones. I would not have him do my nails again.

It is hit or miss, lately more miss, on whether the nails are done nicely/good or not. Will depend on who you get. I called on a particular day in the morning and scheduled an appointment with my daughter. I arrived on time. They didn’t prioritize it. Waited 45 minutes without an acknowledgement. A few others came in after me with an appointment and was also not prioritized, but still got to go ahead of me. Very frustrating and makes it easy to find somewhere new. It is not worth the frustration or cost here to me anymore.

I went to get a full set yesterday and it was a terrible experience. The man who did them obviously didn’t care about doing a good job and was too busy talking and being rude. They looked so bad during that I had to embarrassingly ask him to fix a few before he started painting. He wasn’t happy and hurt my finger (seemingly on purpose) and then continued to do a terrible job and then filed them uneven and ugly. When I went back today after someone asked me “if I did my own press ons” and the same man was rude and getting loud in a different language and wouldn’t let anyone fix it for less than 10$ to fix two fingers I already paid 60$ for. I will absolutely never be back and do not recommend. The nail salon beside Green Tea is so much better and friendlier, plus it’s right down the street. I just wanted to try them out since it’s a new and pretty building. Don’t let the looks mislead you from getting your moneys worth. This is the first time ever leaving a bad review for a nail salon in my entire life. If I could give zero stars, I would.
