Lavish Spa & Nails / Wax & Lash Bar

I went to Lavish Nails at Pearl Ridge Mall on September 28, and brought my sister-in-law as a treat. What should have been a relaxing outing turned into an absolute disaster. I requested a gel polish removal and a gel French tip on my natural nails. The technician took forever filing and soaking my nails, only to ask another worker for help. That second worker started tugging at my nails and even told her to just pull the gel off. Then they brought over who seemed to be a supervisor, and instead of using proper tools, she used her own fingernails to scrape and peel off my gel polish. This ripped layers of my natural nails off, which was not only painful but completely unsanitary and frankly, disgusting. She then over-buffed my nails until they were paper-thin. When my original technician went back to painting, the results were awful. She flooded my cuticles with gel, left dust sealed under the polish, and painted the French tips extremely thick—even after I asked multiple times for them to be thinner. The nails came out lumpy, uneven, and crooked. One is so diagonal it looks like it’s sliding off the tip of my thumb. To make matters worse, she cut my nails without asking, leaving them jagged and mismatched. My sister-in-law’s nails were just as bad. Neither of us received any cuticle care. Her tech piled on thick layers of gel, claiming her nails were weak (they aren’t), and then cut them short for no reason. The result was bulky, uneven nails that looked sloppy and unprofessional. This entire appointment was a nightmare. My nails are now thin, painful, and embarrassing to wear in public. My sister-in-law’s set looks just as bad. Between the unsanitary methods, the unskilled application, and the careless attitudes, this salon completely failed us. I would never recommend Lavish Nails to anyone—what should have been a treat turned into damage, frustration, and wasted money. This experience cost me $128.

I got my nails done here on 10/17/25 around 10:30am. the lady at the counter asked what kind of nails i wanted, i said gel. she asked "fake nails, like gel x?" and i said yes. the lady they paired me up with (she never gave me her name) gave me acrylics, not gel like i asked for. i tried to tell her what i went wrong and what i wanted but our communication wasnt the best i guess. but after the she also did more things wrong. she didnt push my cuticles back or cut them, she didnt apply the acrylic up to the cuticle or the polish. she asked for what shape, i told her Coffina nd she gave me aquare. i still paid 100$ for this service. i am not happy with them and i dont think i'll be coming back. I showed her the 3rd photo of what i wanted. and the first two photos are what i got.

Sally cut my nails crooked and after my gel nails were done curing she filed them on all the sides. I should have just did my nails at home.... photos I took were taken about an hour after my appointment. You can see the uneven nail cut, and the filed sides. I've been here 2 or 3 times this past year, but i don't think I'll be back again.

If I could give zero stars, that would be my option to go. The reason being is I got a pedicure for two the volcano detox package. Let’s just say not only did she not shape my nails the way I wanted it, she told me this is how she likes them done. She did not paint my gel nail polish on correctly. I had nail polish still on my skin. I also have parts of my toes that aren’t even covered with nail polish. It looks horrendous and to top it off she think she did a great job.She wanted me to give her a tip. Here’s a tip please do better or get better nail technicians! Both pedicures came out to $201 (HELLA NOT WORTH IT)

Broke a nail in my sleep after 5 days, assuming bc of how flat/ no apex. went in to ask them to fix, she told me it was my fault bc none of her other clients have broken a nail and offered to apply another top coat. they said flat nails are a trend, when it’s clear it’s poorly structured and a quick google search will tell you ALL NAILS need an apex. she literally said if they break it’s not her fault?? extremely sloppy and lumpy and bumpy acrylic application, polish doesn’t coat the edges and were expensive. just go somewhere with better reviews and at least 1 week guarantee. Will be telling everyone to avoid this place. She could’ve taken accountability and offered to fix the 3 i pointed out, but refused and said this work is good. -5 stars.
