Zen Nail Lounge - Montebello

Made a last minute same day appointment for my daughter and I for full sets and pedicures. This place is beautiful, very clean, amazing pedicure chairs. Good hygienic work. My full set was pain free and done beautifully. Jessica was my nails tech. She was very friendly and did beaitiful work and beautiful nail art. I will be coming back.

This is an overdue (and detailed) review for Zen Nail Lounge and my new favorite nail tech, Anna. After some salon-shopping in the area, I’ve been coming here pretty much since they opened. Anna is the third person I’ve worked with here, and she has been fantastic - very meticulous. My first and second time coming here went well with a gal named Sherry/Cherry, so I left a good review on yelp - but then I later booked with a different nail tech named Selena after seeing her do a killer set on a client she had. The first gal got upset about it, and came over to make an awkward/uncomfortable moment during the appointment with Selena, where I had to confirm with the receptionist mid-session that I had, in fact, chosen to book in advance with a different nail tech that I had never worked with before. When I tried to rebook with Selena 3-4 weeks later, she was no longer working there, which made me feel weird. Maybe I’m the jerk in the situation for tech-switching. Idk. But I feel like I should be able to try different people out before choosing who to be loyal to, especially in the first few months of a place opening. I wasn’t anyone’s client, I was just a walk-in at the time. That said, I’m glad that third time is a charm, because Anna is a very talented and patient nail artist who is unafraid and willing to experiment with you on creating different looks and trying new techniques, and I’m excited to be working with her from here on out. The first time I sat with her, I did a one-color to see how it went… Excellent. The 2nd and 3rd time we did two colors, and then 4th and 5th time we did some of my favorite nails I’ve had in YEARS… multi-layer ombré chrome flame nails (these got me one million compliments and still looked good a full month later), and my current set, which are a cat eye with their own individual little metallic accessories. Looking forward to what we dream up next. Photos uploaded are my flame nails when I first got them, and how good they still look a month later, and then the accessorized cat eye nails I walked out with afterwards. These sets cost me about $100/120 +tip, but that’s fine with me for the sitting time, and for the month’s worth of daily dopamine hits and random conversation starters. :) If you are seeking high quality nail artistry, ask for Anna! I’m so pleased with her flexibility and skill. Side note for families: while I was getting my new set w Anna, another tech worked on two little girls who had to be like 6 -10 years old, and both girls and their mom had smiles that took up their whole faces. I would say that they definitely handle children well, and I often see men getting pedicures as well. Everyone is welcome here.

I had such a wonderful experience today at Zen Nail Lounge in Montebello! I was taken care of by Annie and Luna, and they were both incredibly professional, kind, and attentive. Annie did my Gel X nails — I asked for a French tip look that would be safe and practical for my 3-month-old, but still cute and elegant. She absolutely nailed it (no pun intended)! Luna did my pedicure, and I went with a classic all-white color. The full experience — the scrub, hot towel mask, and foot massage — felt amazing. I truly felt pampered and cared for by both ladies from start to finish. The salon itself is beautiful and aesthetic, perfect for Instagram photos and just such a relaxing atmosphere overall. I highly recommend Annie and Luna — they both made my visit feel special, and I’ll definitely be coming back!

I’m back with an updated review! This time I booked with Fiona, and she was amazing. She made sure I was happy with what I requested and took her time to make my nails look just like my inspo picture. A couple of weeks ago I didn’t have the best experience with another nail tech here, but Fiona completely redeemed this salon for me. I highly recommend booking with her!

I wanted to come in here and share how much I loved my nails! I went in with a vision and Jessica made it all possible! She really outdid herself! If you haven’t, please visit Zen Nail Lounge. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The place is also very clean and relaxing. If I could give it more than 5 stars I would.
