Polish Nail Studio

I am visiting from the East Coast, and after several days of hiking combined with the hot, dry weather, my feet were in desperate need of a pedicure. I just left Polish Nail Salon, which was close by to where I’m staying, and I’m happy to share that it was a wonderful experience. Linda was my technician and she went above and beyond to address my calluses and rough spots. She gave the best and longest leg and foot massage – I’m still feeling relaxed from it. I might go back tomorrow for a manicure.

This place was practically empty. There was one client getting a Pedi and someone else getting their nails done. I asked for a pedicure and sat. No water was offered but I asked for it and it was provided. A menu was provided with services and prices. I picked the basic and asked for gel. The technician didn't say it would be extra but I figured. It was $15 for gel. fine. When finished, I saw the job was mediocre at best. I asked the technician to clean up and to file one of my big toes because it was to square and I have it done at other salons. She “did it” rudely. Do not recommend.

I want to start this off by saying I NEVER post reviews so this speaks volumes, but this was the absolute worst experience I’ve ever had in a nail salon by far. When I went in for my appointment, it seemed pretty slow so I never expected to feel rushed, but that’s exactly what it ended up being. I had to coach the guy on multiple things he missed during my pedicure that I was so exhausted by the time he got to my manicure which was done in the pedicure chair (extremely uncomfortable, as I’m 5 months pregnant). He didn’t really clean or file my nails or do any prep before applying the nail polish which for my hands and toes was THE WORST PAINT JOB. He made me bleed on multiple toes and fingers, got the paint all over my skin, gave a very lackluster but yet aggressive massage to the point where my skin was red and angry on my legs and arms. Not to mention, when I asked for a basic pedicure and manicure with just regular polish, I felt (cannot confirm) like he was speaking ill of me and was giving me dirty looks as he spoke to his coworkers in another language in between asking me questions. I felt the services got even worse after he found out I wouldn’t be spending $100+ that day. I left super upset, seeing as though it was the first time I’ve gotten my nails done in the past year since I had my daughter. I’ve gone to get my toes done by other places a few times in the last year, just not my hands. I hope people have a better experience than I did, and feel like the money they paid was worth it.

Micheal did an amazing job with my coffin French tips and pedicures! I’ll keep seeing him for more Update: he also did my dips! 2 nails are chipped he had to add fake ones and you can’t even tell, they match my natural nails and he continues to do my pedicures !

Nail technician burnt me with the electric file 4 times and each time, it seemed like she could care less I said ouch and pulled my foot away. She also cut 2 of my cuticles so every time she reapplied alcohol it burned. I came here years ago and was impressed, will never be back now sad to say.
