Krystal Nail Spa - Falls Church

Been searching high and low for a place with skilled nail techs and reasonable prices and I think I found it! Kim did an incredible job with this Christmas-inspired french set and paid super close attention to detail. She was also very responsive to my requests for little changes (ex - slightly thicker tips) throughout the process. All of the staff are very kind and welcoming. Highly recommend this place and Kim for more detailed designs and nail sets!

HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend this place to get your nails done!! After a thorough research online to find a nail salon, i decided to go with krystal nail before heading to hawaii for my best friends wedding. Kim was my tech and she absolutely nailed it - showed her the design inspo i wanted and somehow gave me exactly what i needed and more. Kim thank you so much!! The staff here is so welcoming too - treated me like a family member from the second i walked through the door. I will be coming back in the future!! Also they do give complimentary drinks!

I love how welcoming this salon is. They greet you with a smile, remember your preferences, and truly care about the results. Linh shaped my nails beautifully and paid attention to every tiny detail. The polish selection is huge, so it’s easy to find a shade that fits the season or mood. The atmosphere is calm, and I always leave feeling refreshed and pampered.

I came in for a green French tip set and asked for a super short length I made that clear from the very beginning. The male tech doing my nails was told multiple times that I prefer short nails. I showed him pictures of how I normally wear them, pointed to another client in the salon with the exact length I wanted, and even pulled up photos of my own previous sets. His response was that my nail bed was different, and I said I understood but still emphasized, again and again, that I like my nails short. I repeated myself at least five times, but my nails still came out much longer than what I requested. By the fifth time, I was just over it. I’m not confrontational and don’t like having to keep repeating myself when I’m paying for a service. On top of that, the execution wasn’t good. The shape was uneven, some nails looked bent, and the French tips were thick and not cleanly done. I paid $90 for a set that didn’t reflect what I asked for, didn’t feel flattering, and overall just felt rushed and sloppy. What made it more frustrating is that I was sitting between two female techs who were doing beautiful, clean sets listening to their clients the first time and getting it right without all the back-and-forth. Meanwhile, I felt like I wasn’t being heard or cared for in the same way. I’ve never paid that much for a set before and maybe because I’m not long nail girly so I really know what the long nail girls pay but especially not for nails I wanted to take off as soon as I walked out. I’m someone who usually tips generously, but this time I didn’t tip at all because I was genuinely disappointed. I don’t like leaving negative reviews, but I also couldn’t let this go cause I’m really upset and then knowing that I should have just told them I don’t like them but like I said I don’t do confrontation. Omgg and looking at the good reviews makes me even more upset because I see so many girlies with cute Nails! HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED

I have been coming here for a few years now and ai always had a good experience, however, the last 2 times that I went there I had a horrible time. The previous time the nail technician did not understood what I wanted and I wanted to get up to show her what I wanted on a manequin and she said that she understood and proceeded to do something that I never asked. Today I decided to give them another chance, they took a excessive amount of time to do my nails when I had somewhere to go and I hated the nails. Its horrible and I have to look at it for the next few days until I can go and get it fixed. Too expensive to not get exactly what you want. I will attach a picture of what I asked vs what I got (its already scratched after less than 1 hour that I got it done). Ps: I asked for shorter nails.
