Beauty Nail and Spa Charlottesville

After moving from Dubai to Charlottesville, I was hoping I would find a good nail salon, so when I saw the 4.6 stars I was impressed and went on my first appointment. The girl who did my nails did not speak English which was not much of a problem except when I wanted to explain details about the shape which she did not understand; no biggie. I paid for the service and left. My "gel" nails started peeling after 3 days, again no biggie, I will give them a second chance. I go to my next appointment and as the same technician approached me, I began to explain to her about the peeling and filing that can be done better only to have an older lady technician start yelling in my face that she will do better. As she started filing, I told her THREE times that she is going too fast and it hurts, but she did not listen at which she cut my finger and it was bleeding for at least five minutes. Only then did they get another technician. Last week, and against my better judgment, I decided to go a third time just to remove the color. As I entered, I was met by the same older lady who was so rude and aggressive in the way she talked ( I do not care how good of a technician she is if she cannot politely communicate with customers). A male technician did my nails on that day and I attached a picture of nails that look crooked and uneven, yet still cost 32$. Bottom line, one of the worst experiences ever: terrible customer service, especially Kelly, poor hygiene, loud talking across the salon although it is supposed to be a "spa". I hope that you will do better. You lost a customer who could have been loyal for years the same way I was loyal to my previous nail salon for over 15 years.

I was in Charlottesville over the Thanksgiving holiday. My husband, brother-in-law, and I made an unplanned stop to get manicures and pedicures. My BIL had great service, and my husband was pleased, except that the person who provided his service cut his toe. I was not pleased. The gentleman that provided my service was very rough during the pedicure, often snatching my feet if I did not move quickly enough. Maybe he was annoyed because I did not remove the polish before my appointment - I would have if I had known ahead of time that I would be going. I just had regular polish on that I applied at home. He didn't check with me before removing the polish, and used a grinder to remove the polish on one had, but used regular polish remover on the other hand. Which means that the nails on my left had were roughened on the top. I did not plan on getting color - and did not have time for color - so they were just left rough on the one hand. He also got carried away on my manicure and cut one of my fingers along the cuticle. The owner was really nice. It's a shame. I was impressed with their 4.6 stars on Google, and I really wanted to like it. I've had nail services at other salons on past visits to Charlottesville that were much better. I don't believe I'll visit this one again the next time I'm in town.

Visiting Charlottesville for a wedding this weekend and decided to stop here and get a gel fill in. Kelly was so lovely, kind and did an amazing job with my nails! Would highly recommend whether you're local or just visiting to get your nails done here.

My daughter and I went to beauty nail and spa and we're happy with the outcome. Definitely expecting to go back soon.

I only recently started going to this salon after being fiercely loyal to another business in town since I had moved to Charlottesville. Not only is this facility MUCH cleaner and more sanitary than the one I went to before,, the facilities are maintained with pride (no broken massage chairs!), the customer service is amazing and the prices are fair. I wish I would have made the switch sooner! I’ve recommended to all of my friends! Kelly and Vanessa are fabulous!!
