Emory Nail Lounge - Acrylic, Gel X, Builder Gel, and Designs

Got my nails done here today and I’m seriously obsessed. I asked for something with gold details and they totally nailed it. The tech was so attentive and patient while we figured out the design, and I never once felt rushed. The place is super clean and welcoming. Everyone was so nice. I’m from out of state and honestly so bummed they’re not local if they were I’d be here all the time. They even have Labubus!! Definitely coming back when I’m back in town.

I received excellent service from the Emory staff. I got my gel-x taken off and wanted to try builder gel. When I asked Tracy if builder gel would make my nails grow, she said yes. She has been doing it for 15 years. Because my nail bed had been filed out quite a bit, Tracy took the time and layered the gel so I would not burn. She also told me the process will not take long the next time because all I would need is a fill-in and not to drill my nail down so much. I told her that I would be coming back to her. I received a good pedicure and eyebrow wax. I am new to Texas and Flower Mound and tried another nail salon in the area. The other salon looked pretty but services were overpriced. Emory salon is beautiful, clean and the techs are friendly. You have conversations with them like you guys have known each other forever, this goes a long way with me. I have found my new nail salon and have already booked my next appointment with Tracy!

Emory Nail Lounge is a beautiful salon. The nail techs are friendly and very understanding. They always try to make things right with their customers, which I appreciate. I got a French dip manicure by Louis, who did an amazing job! He was easy to talk to, and I felt comfortable speaking up about any concerns I had.

I’m honestly sad to leave a review like this because I’ve been coming here for a long time and have never had any problems until now. Today, I came in for a full set of acrylic french tips. I still had a previous set on, so before sitting down I asked for a soak-off. However, the nail tech, Mai, started using an extension tip to pry off my old acrylics instead. I was concerned but assumed she knew what she was doing. Unfortunately, she ended up ripping one of my nails completely off the skin, leaving it bleeding and raw. During the service, she kept mentioning that my skin was dry and that I should use coconut oil, and even told me not to get mad at her if she made me bleed. I reassured her I wasn’t upset, but inside I was very concerned for the health of my nails. She later explained that my nail ripped off because I had kept my previous set on for a month, but I’ve had acrylics on just as long in the past and never had a nail tech rip one off my skin and then continue with a full set. Part of why I didn’t say anything in the moment is because I’m a shy person by nature, and I wasn’t sure how she would react if I spoke up. I just wanted to have a stress-free day, and honestly, I felt uncomfortable. The usual lady who owns the salon wasn’t there, she’s always kind and engaging with both customers and staff, and I feel like if she had been there I would have felt comfortable enough to say something. The woman working the front desk didn’t ask me about my service or check in afterward, which added to my hesitation. To be fair, the nails themselves look nice, but I left feeling uneasy. I’m upset that I paid for a service that caused damage I could have avoided by taking the nails off carefully at home. Overall, this experience was really disappointing and concerning compared to the positive visits I’ve had in the past.

They greeted me very nicely when I first walked in. Then the two workers that did my services did an amazing job, I showed a picture of what I wanted and they did exactly the picture. It was a very simple ask but it turned out better than I was hoping it would. They did an amazing job back in October when I was on a trip. So when I moved down here, I had to try it out again and they just always do a good job. The workers are extremely nice and talkative. They did my nails and toes.
