Ooh La La Nail and Spa

*Update: they offered me a refund. Thank you to the management for offering that. They also said that they’ve organized a sanitation meeting with the staff.* It pains me to write this because it’s such a cute salon but I ended up with a horrible cuticle infection after my manicure. I immediately contacted the salon the next day when I noticed my gel polish still hadn’t cured and was sticky and my cuticles began getting inflamed. They told me to buy acetone and a buffer because it would help the top layer be less sticky. It didn’t work, all it did was make the polish covered in scratch marks and foggy, and was still sticky (thankfully I only tried this on a pinky nail). A few days later my middle finger got completely swollen and throbbing in pain. I ended up needing to apply antibiotics. I am writing this while still fighting the infection. I am appalled that this happened. Unfortunately, I will never return to this salon after that. I noticed the nail tech using dirty & used files, buffers and e-files and I said something multiple times to her to be more gentle on my nail bed, to please use a different file, which she grabbed another one (less dirty but still clearly looked used) and she was scraping so hard on my nail bed and cutting my cuticles aggressively. I am so disappointed this happened and I hope this review will make them enforce cleanliness in the salon because this is literally a customer’s worst nightmare. Btw after calling them I was never offered a refund. I would’ve immediately apologized to the customer and offered at least something. And the manicure wasn’t even good, the nails were filed unevenly, the polish applied really chunky in some parts and streaky in others, lifting from the cuticle the next day, and again uncured gel polish. She also cut my nails so short.. the first nail was perfect, then I don’t know what happened. The other nails were cut too far past the nail bed with exposed skin from under the nail. Overall terrible experience.

Had a very relaxing pedicure. My person, TOM, OMG...the best foot massage. I had just had surgery that morning on my left leg and needed my calf and ankles massaged. It was the best and most relaxing treatment. Sophie, the manager was totally sweet and accommodating and offered drinks. The price was a little different, higher, then where I am from but the massage alone was worth it.

Love my nails!! Mei was awesome and has very good conversation!!! We talked like friends! I love how accommodating they are! I have sensitive nail beds and Mei took time and care to be gentle, using the drimmel as little as possible! I will definitely be going back, especially with them staying open late and on weekends! I feel Ooh La La!!!

Y’all. This place is amazing! I had cat’s eye nails in sparking pink and I love them! I also received a Deluxe Seine Pedicure that I will always get from now on. The receptionists at the front desk are SO helpful and the mani/pedi/nail artists staff are so nice and really care that you’re happy with the work they’ve done for you. With the all-pink ambiance and the fair pricing, you’d love this place as much as I do!

My first experience at Ooh La La was great. I had a small wait but I got great service afterwards and love my nails. This was about a month ago. I went in today with the intent of doing to same shape, but a little shorter to make them the same length as before they grew out. When I walked in, I asked for dip and the front desk lady said “Okay, dip with tips” and I clarified and said “no tips” and she asked if they were my real nails and I responded that they were. I understood as my nails were long and you could get confused. I sat down for my again, short wait. When I sat down at the table and I told the man what color I wanted and that I wanted the same shape but shorter. He said okay and got to work. Work meaning that he took the tip trimmers and cut off all of my nails. About 8 nails through, he asked if they were my real nails and said he should’ve asked before he cut them. It was fine today because I was just getting my nails done for upkeep, but if I had an event that I was getting these for, I would be livid. Needless to say, I will go back, I just learned my lesson and will ask for a specific person next time instead of just walking in.
