Grandlux Nail Salon Highland - 15% OFF First Visit

I love my girls who do my Manicure (Tran) and Pedicures (Annie and Victoria)! They always do an amazing job and sometimes I ask for some crazy designs for my manicure but both of these sweet ladies never let me down. My sweet ladies have become my family now. My mom has had Theresa and loved her and will be forever using her now on. My sister always asks for Sam and loves her.

I had my Gel-X nails done here and they lasted a full 4 weeks with no chipping or design damage. The nail tech was fast, precise, and did an amazing job on the design. The manager went the extra mile to make sure I had a great experience—super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!

They overcharged me, rushed the service, and the color wasn’t the same. Color I picked was a glittery white but when applied it’s sheer, you can literally see my nail tip as you can see in the pictures They also overcharged me. They said gel polish (with no additional service) is $30 but I just checked their website and it’s $25. They also tried to overcharge me for dip but thankfully caught that and they updated it. Not coming back. Also, just noticed that they advertise 15% off for new customers, I also didn’t get that discount.

Me and my husband got pedicures together. Tran who did my pedicure was great. Anna who did my husband’s did a good job but she never shut up the entire time we were there. She was constantly talking to the other technician. Paying attention to your customer would have been a better choice. Overall the quality of the services delivered was good.

This review is a bit delayed but it’s good to let it but known for first time guests who don’t look like their usual clientele/residents of this area. I scheduled my appointment at about 1:30 in the afternoon for 6:40 after I get off of work on Wednesday. Yes, that is late however this was one of the only shops that closed at 7:30 and I was honestly desperate for a new set. I arrived at 6:37 and waited 10 minutes before anyone had said anything to me. The entire 10 minutes I’m thinking “I could be soaking my nails off” because when I made the appointment the receptionist was very detailed in asking what I wanted and answering honestly when I asked about pricing. After 10 minutes of being ignored, I am approached and after explaining the services I was seeking I am met with the payment receipt. At this moment in time I already knew my total I was just ready to begin the service. Old me would have left, but I’m practicing patience. My hands begin soaking about 6:50 and it takes another 10/15 minutes to get them off. I was also hoping someone would have at least offerered something to drink and they never did. I initiated that customer service pivot by asking if they had anything to drink. The tech asked if I had been there before (I told her no) and she seemed really personable. However when it came to the application of my nails, the base of my French tip I wanted to be clear. But the clear powder or the acetone was not clean because there were particles of what the tech called “glitter” and I made it known that seeing that on my nails wasn’t pleasing and her reply to me is “it’s all going to be like that, it’s just how it is.” As someone who has been getting the same thing for years I know that is false. I respectfully let them know I’ll just pay for the take off and be done because you could tell she just wanted to leave. Check out: you remember in the beginning for the very first thing I was given was the receipt for the amount of my services? Yeah. On there the soak off was $5 after going to the register, something is said to the receptionist and now the soak off was $10. Lol okay cool but thennnn I come to google to leave a review on how displeased I was with everything, I see first time guest 15% off. Remember, the tech knew it was my first time because she asked me and at no point was this mentioned, not even at check out. Overall, I’m very aware of the demographic in this area (because I work there) and the perpetual stereotypes and discriminatory behavior towards people of color so I’m not surprised. I just want to let it be known for other people like me who are constantly judged due to ignorance, to not waste your time at Grandlux and spend your money else where. Which is exactly what I did. The service I wanted here was $65 and I ended up going and receiving exceptional service and paid $80 for the service plus tipped $20 cash. When it comes to my nails I just want what I want and would not fix myself to get a service like that and not pay or tip accordingly. *** I’ll be posting my beautiful set I got from an Addison nail shop: Nail Bloom (they close at midnight) which has no “glitter” in my clear base because the tools and product are clean and they treat everyone with kindness and respect. Overall, first time experience with grand lux was 1/10 and it’s not a 0/10 because the receptionist when I made the appointment that afternoon was so helpful and kind. After that complete shit show.
