Nail Color

I preface by saying this: I gave two stars because my toes are beautiful. On the contrary, my nails are anything but satisfactory. I asked for a simple design. The lady who was doing my nails said she could do the design. The design did not look like the picture I showed her. She wasn’t even looking at the picture I gave. She took the design off and tried again and they still did not look good. I know she tried her best and I’m appreciative of that. However, I told her we could just do a clear coat or pink because it was not looking good. Another lady spoke up and said if I waited she would do them. She started doing the design and it was looking okay. I asked her to adjust one finger because it was not looking good. They were not terrible the design is just not what I asked for. The lady was frustrated and said she had someone waiting on her and did not have time to do my nails.. she took the design off. And absolutely obliterated my cuticles. She then offered to put on gel but my fingers were stinging and I was unhappy she blew me off because someone else was waiting. I then proceeded to go to another nail salon here in town and they refused to touch my nails because 6-7 of them were bleeding. They told me wait a few days to a week to heal and they would touch them. They warned me to keep them clean and maybe use some Vaseline so they don’t get infected. I wish the ladies here at nail color would have just said I don’t think we can do the design or just painted them clear or pink like I initially asked. After all of this, I was willing to pay for my toes but not my nails. The lady at the desk said I still had to pay for the nails. They said I could come back later for “the design”. I declined considering my nails are on fire and they look hideous. Pics show the original design.. the design they attempted. & how I left the salon.. still had to pay for the nails.

Update: not even 24 hours later and my nails are all cracked….I will certainly not be returning! Today I went to Nail Color for the first time. My pedicure was enjoyable. I felt it was a bit pricey for what I got done, but whatever. My manicure went well as well but i felt like the person doing my nails was digging into my finger with her nails. It kind of hurt and made the experience not as enjoyable. I also voiced that I didn’t want my hands under the UV and the person doing my nails seemed annoyed but the other women were very helpful and figured it out for me! The place was very clean, and I did have a great experience!

I have been coming here for 2 years now and love it! I come see Ann and she does an amazing job on my nails! Every time I come I bring in a new design for her to try out and she does it perfectly every time. Ann is also very gentle and she takes her time and does a great job shaping my long acrylics!

On April 22nd, I visited your salon to get a pedicure for my birthday. I have sensitive skin and tend to get hangnails on the side of my feet, so I asked my pedicurist, Kim, to be careful. During the appointment, she attempted to remove a hangnail on the side of my big toe and ended up cutting too close, which caused it to bleed heavily. I spoke up when I felt the nipping was too close to my skin, but she continued. She initially tried to stop the bleeding with a cotton ball, but only after I spoke up again did she apply alcohol to the wound. It wasn’t until the manager noticed that the situation was properly addressed, and eventually, the bleeding stopped. What concerned me even more is that Kim did not change her gloves after wiping the blood from my toe, which raises serious concerns about hygiene and safety. I also informed her that I didn’t want to proceed with the appointment due to the bleeding and potential exposure. Despite this, I was still charged $33 for an incomplete and painful service. I felt pressured and disappointed, especially since this happened on my birthday. After taking some time to reflect, I called the salon and returned to request a refund, which was refused. I’m very disappointed by how this situation was handled and am requesting that it be re-evaluated. I have photos of the injury and am willing to provide them if needed.

Excellent. My daughter recommended the salon and I will certainly visit them again when I am in town. It was the best manicure and pedicure I've ever had and I felt for the services I received the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
