LaVie Nails

I had a girls day today with my mom and daughter. We decided we wanted our nails done before our upcoming beach trip. I did a ton of searching and found this place and loved the reviews. And everything was true and phenomenal work! They were wonderful with my daughter and this being her first time having her nails done. I will definitely be making this my go to nail salon!

I am a travel nurse and needed a full set of ombre pink and white nails. I had nothing to go on as to what salon to choose I just picked one close to my work location and asked if I could come in at 5. They said yes so I went. All was well to start. I was sat with the oldest female tech. She was nice enough. Im not a big talker tbh especially after I've worked all day being forced to constantly talk. Im definitely a loner. So I wore my ear pods in and was watching reels. Well, I think it offended my tech because a couple of times id had to pause a video and say im sorry, what'd you say when she'd said something. Anyhow idk if any of you out there are like me, but I am super power sensitive to a person's vibe. Like sometimes I think I can read minds. Probably halfway through im getting a very strong negative vibe from her and well about that time she starts being super rough and just kept going thru a cycle of filing with one type of file to another and another and then start it over. Several times I was on the edge of starting to bleed and I 100% believe that she was wholeheartedly trying to get a reaction. I was going to make her make me bleed cuz thats just who I am. Also early on id asked if they could just change my toe polish and she said yea sure...that was before she got ugly. Well, she finally finished my nails, but id already decided I was indeed not doing my toes there followingthe assault i had just ensured, but she never brought it up again. I left a $5 tip just to be a smarta** because I didn't want to tip at all. I get my nails short. It was $70. So a little high but in the ballpark im familiar with. We'll needless to say almost every finger on my hands are in pain. Ive never had cuticles snipped as fast as she did. Im in a hotel bath and ouch. Im sure ill be back to good in a couple days. So yea im a big believer in reading reviews and so of course that makes me a big believer of writing honest detailed reviews. So there ya go. I have to say my brain always thought of North Carolina as the south, but the time I've spent here has completely changed my mind. The people I have dealt with everywhere I may as well be in New York. North Carolina is officially a northern state. And truly it is. Complete with thw northern weather. I have 4 days left here and it will not be a sad goodbye haha

This is my third time at this nail salon. It has been the best experience by far. The staff are all friendly. Van is wonderful! She always goes above and beyond! Go see her!

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The lady doing my nails strove for perfection and precision. I came in for a gel manicure on my natural nails, but several of my nails were uneven (my own fault), and they were able to set me up with a few nail tips to make everything even. She asked me my opinion of her work every step of the way and generally very communicative. I definitely recommend! There was no wait for me, but I went in pretty early on a Saturday :) Edit: I went back for my fill-in and got a different artist, who was AMAZING.

I’ve been to a few nail salons and techs trying to find the right match for me and this salon is by far the best. Everything is so clean, they’re incredibly friendly, and affordable for the everyday budget. Cindy is who I’ve seen every time and her attention to detail is wonderful. She strives for perfection and it shows!
