Horrible experience. I had to repeatedly explain to the nail tech that they were hurting me. Constantly asking them to correct the nails. End result was so horrible & painful, I had to immediately go to a different salon to have these removed. First & last time I would visit. $100 wasted.

I have been coming here for many years and never experienced such embarrassment or disrespect in my life! I came in and scheduled a mani and pedi with Amy. I was given a random technician. I was sat at the pedicure station and waited to be assisted but the white woman who walked in behind me was serviced immediately. After the peso he began my nails, they’re natural and he immediately tried to cut them all off and give me fake nails.I advised him I wanted an overlay but he kept trying to tell me to cut them. Honestly I’ve experienced this here before they act as if doing overlays are a hassle and try and talk me out of it every time. I showed the technician a very simple picture of the shape I wanted and he advised he couldn’t do them that way unless they were fake. After he continued to do what he wanted to my nails I asked Amy for help. They began speaking in their foreign tongue and he began to argue with her also. Amy said he would do exactly what I liked he didn’t understand. Yet he continued to do the opposite. I told Amy I had no problem waiting for someone else if he didn’t understand she said no he’s got it. I bring my own polish that I ordered online and is unavailable in their store. Once my nails were completely finished he tried to do the manicure . I asked Don if we could speak privately outside. I was indeed unhappy with the service but I had no desire to embarrass the technician. Don refused. After a bunch of back and forth he tells me I have to pay before I go outside. I say I’m not paying for the service because it’s bad. I show my nails to the group of workers who have surrounded me screaming. Don looks at my nails saying well he did the best he could. For $180? He and another man begin to scream I don’t want to pay because I don’t have the money (while I’m holding money in my hand). He said I’m broke and never wanted to pay. They charged me $20 for gel but I brought my own polish. Don said I didn’t have to bring my own I could have used theirs so it’s still a charge and it’s policy. I asked him where are the signs showing that. He then began yelling if you don’t pay I’ll call the police. At this point I’m being profiled and violated. The world knows how cops treat black people. Don was trying to put fear in me to make me pay for service that was of poor quality and a service I didn’t receive. He began to fail and Amy grabbed the phone. I said well I will call for you because you cannot charge me for a service I didnt get and I’m not paying for it. Amy asked could she speak with me outside for a second, what I asked for to begin with. She said I couldn’t leave without paying for anything. I told her I never was trying to leave and not pay for anything I’m standing here with money in my hand to pay. I aAmy asked me to come back and she would fix my nails but at this point the damage was already done. I was humiliated and embarrassed because their service was garbage. My nails are lumpy, thick, different sizes, lopsided and uneven. I’ve attached pictures of the results. I was treated like dirt and trash by Don. They do not respect black people and they don’t respect our dollar. I was called broke and a theif. That I couldn’t afford their service that’s why I wouldn’t pay. I was made to feel unsafe I was surrounded by men as though they were going to stop me from leaving if I didn’t pay. I will be contacting someone about this because we have a right to a certain quality and expectation of service when making a purchase. I was in fear for my life and thought Don was going to hit me. This tells me on thing this isn’t the first time he’s treated people of my color like this. I will never give them another red penny! In the pictures the pink nail is the shape requested.

They always do a fabulous job. Ben always does so good on my designs. I wanted Bluey for my son’s birthday coming cause he passed. & Ben did just that and a great job! We love rubys nail bar

Tony is my go to every 2 weeks! He is the best! Today we did 4th of July Nails! I usually always get a pedicure as well and they are 10/10. Highly recommend tony and staff!

As this is my second time going to Ruby’s Nail Bar, I must say that this is the best place to go for your nail appointments in Tupelo. Not only is the atmosphere clean and comfortable, the nail techs are kind and thorough, with great attention to detail. I’ve been satisfied both times with my manicure and pedicure process. The receptionist is very friendly, and the wait time on a day like today is usually very short. I suggest going at the beginning of the week for quick service. Nikki is an excellent full set technician. Skye is great with gel pedicures. I highly recommend either of these techs. Ken is also great with manicures and pedicures.
