Luxe is the best nail place I have been to in Kato by far. Everyone there is beyond friendly and do incredible work. I love my nails and my experience everytime I go🤗

Truthfully this was a really terrible experience for me. I was a walk in and didn’t have an appointment so maybe if I made an appointment I would’ve had a better experience, but this was a last minute surprise from my husband for our maternity pictures this week. I’m expecting (34 weeks) and I brought a natural childbirth book with me to the salon to read during my pedicure. The male nail technician who did my pedicure saw the book I was reading and basically told me that women don’t get any choices in labor and there’s a ton of factors that go into child birth and he didn’t think reading a book about it is worth my time. He continued to give me his unsolicited opinions which was very much not called for and caused me to shut down. It ruined the entire “relaxing” experience I was hoping for with coming in to get my nails done and this was only 5 minutes into the experience. Also I work in anesthesia, so I’ve cared for the good the bad and the life threatening when it comes to pregnant moms, so I definitely didn’t need his thoughts and opinions as I’ve seen it all already when it comes to childbirth. All the gel polish nail colors were with other people when I arrived, so I didn’t get a chance to look at the color options. The workers said they would bring them to me when they were available, but this didn’t happen. When it was time to paint my nails, I showed the tech what I wanted, but he told me they couldn’t do a pink/blue chrome (see pictures) that I was hoping for, but I wasn’t really given any time to pick something different so I just went with white and white chrome. The massage was okay, but when they did the wax portion there was definitely not enough wax in the bag to coat the bottom of your feet. I have size 9 feet so average size and the wax barely covered my heels. They only leave the wax on for 2-3 minutes (should be 10-15 minutes and cover the entire foot) so it’s not actually beneficial to feet health or worth the upgraded cost. The stone massage portion was okay, but I wouldn’t upgrade to it. When we got to the manicure portion I received a lecture about my cuticles and how I have to stop picking them and as a “nurse (the nail tech never asked what I do for a career just assumed)” I should know that I’m damaging the epididymis layer of skin and placing myself at risk for infection. Again, if I wanted to get a lecture/unsolicited opinions I sure wouldn’t be paying $150 dollars for it. There was no hand massage with the manicure. I have short nails, but there is white gel polish all around my finger tips (see picture). My nails look fine and will work for our maternity pictures, but I would’ve picked something else in hindsight. I’ve gotten manicures and pedicures numerous times but I’ve never ever had an experience this poor. I have zero idea how this nail salon has 4.4 stars, but I’d recommend going ANYWHERE ELSE.

I had a great experience here for my first time. Katrina was very meticulous and made sure that my nails looked amazing. I recommend the builder gel for sure.

I have been going to Lily for over a year! She is so friendly and funny. She takes her time with the designs/details to placing the charms. My nails have never looked more fab! Keep in mind, these are my real nails with using the BIAB that she offers!! ;)
