Glamour Nail & Spa - Nail Salon East Longmeadow

New to town. SAHM splurged for my birthday for their top pedi and dip manicure (extra $$$ for french tips). My 25 min massage was 10-15 mins at best and I left with this manicure. I’ll let you be the judge. $122 later, happy birthday to me.

I’ve been going to this nail salon for a few years now and I always have the best experience. I tried at least a dozen other places (private techs and salons) since moving here, and this one is the best imo. The front desk employees are incredibly accommodating, professional, and kind. I highly recommend getting your services from Tammy or Vivian, they are both very talented nail techs!

Edit to add: I received a call from Glamour Nails and they offered to have Kathy fix my nails. I will say I am glad they value their relationships with their repeat customers and do have a very nice place and great customer service so I have changed my review from 1 star to 5 as I really do enjoy getting my nails done by Kathy at this salon. I cannot even begin to express the utter disappointment I have after my appointment today. When I usually go to Glamour nails, I have Kathy do my nails (She is AMAZING. and quite honestly I will only be going back after today because I will be booking with her ONLY from now on) however her schedule was fully booked and I needed my nails done for an event that I have out of town this weekend. I figured that Kathy is so great the other nail techs couldn’t be far off. I WAS SO WRONG. The woman who did my nails today was HORRIFIC. I checked in for my appointment and noted I wanted a full set of Gel nails and an express pedicure. I get my toes done but not before she attempted to sell me on a more expensive pedicure. Honestly that didn’t really bother me as I respect someone trying to make a bigger sell. It was my manicure that really was the issue here. First she glued the tips on without even checking to see if the tip fit my finger. She also glued them all beyond crooked. It looks like my nail is going in the opposite direction my finger tip points. Then she cut the tips without measuring any length or checking to see if the shapes were the same. Then she started applying acrylic to my finger, and after she finished applying to one nail asked if I wanted gel or acrylic. When I said gel she said “oh oops” before scraping off what she had already done. Then she started just globing gel on my nails. My nails have NEVER been this thick when I’ve gotten gel. She then just starts painting away and I had to stop her to tell her I wanted a design on two of my nails. (A super simple design might I add) and it looks like a 5 year old did them. And here’s the biggest kicker of all they cost me $120. ARE YOU KIDDING ME. I’ve gotten the more expensive pedicure and more intricate design on my nails a month ago and it cost me $127. There’s NO WAY this should have cost $120. The only reason I didnt say anything rifht then and there was because I was so fed up as this point. I went straight to this appointment from work and needed to get home and eat dinner. And could not be bothered to sit there and have her fix them (if she even could which I doubt) because no one else was there. The yellow nails are what I asked for. The orange are what I got. And the blue and gold are what my nails looked like when I got them done with Kathy. Waste of my money. I went home and cried.

Glamour nails and spa is usually ok service but I recently went to remove a set of acrylic nails and I scheduled to have a soak off, I also damaged one of my nails and was in pain and I had said to please be careful in advance. When I sat down with Tina I was ready for a soak off and she proceeded to RIP my nails off, she ripped chunks off of my real nail and cut me, she severely damaged my nails and when I said to her that I asked for a soak off she just said oops and continued on, then I said to her that I did not want her to do the same for my second hand and she ignored me and tried to do the same. After A while she finally agreed to not rip off my nails and she just went in with a drill after I explicitly said several times I wanted a soak off. I asked her to be more gentle and carful with my nails because I was in pain and she ignored me, she did not take off all of the acrylic and just left me with ruined nails that had not been cleaned off. I went to complain and the women at the front told me to go sit with yet another person to finish removing the nails, I sat down and said that I wanted a soak off and the women ignored me and tried to go back in with a drill, after a while of arguing I finally made her do a soak off and she did a horrible job and didn’t remove everything. They then made me pay for this treatment after I showed them what they did to my nails and said that I was dissatisfied with the service. I will not be coming back here again.

I wasn’t going to write a review until my nails started popping off 4 DAYS LATER. I went in for a gel refill. It was fine at first, they were friendly and I got in quick. But the lady who did my nails was absolutely rushing, to the point where none of my nails are even the same shape and the paint job was all over my cuticles. She left glue and debris all under my nails. And then when I wanted a design she got an attitude. I wanted something simple, just two flowers on one finger. She did 5 little dots and called it a flower. I wanted French tips on the other nails but I was already so annoyed at that point I didn’t even bother to ask. And it’s only been 4 days since my refill and 2 of my nails are already coming off. They’re bulky and they have little bubbles all over the paint. $65 down the drain for a shitty refill job.
