Ochoa Salon & Spa

I recently received the auto-generated “we miss you” email from this place and it reminded me to check if I ever left a review. Turns out I didn’t, must have been blocking out the memory, so now’s the perfect time. Thanks for the reminder, Ochoa!! I had been going to Ochoa for almost 7 years when they absolutely botched my hair last year. I didn’t ask for anything major, just a touch up on my color. Customer Service was brutal and the manager didn’t call me back for 48 hours. thankfully found another salon to fix my hair in the meantime. Even after this, I sent an email with the detail on what happened and I never got offered a refund or anything. Also, my friend is a client here and literally had her pink puffer jacket stolen by someone at the salon. She accidentally left it there after an appointment, called the next day and Ochoa confirmed it was still there. After work that SAME day she drove to Ochoa to get it and the staff said “it’s not here, we’ll let you know if it turns up”. I used to love this place but it seems like it’s gone downhill in the last few years. And the prices are so extreme that it’s terrible to walk away feeling crappy about your hair. I do NOT recommend. Ochoa, you should probably take me off your email distribution list now.

I’ve bounced around between a few chairs here for about 2 years. Jenna M is certainly a top chair in my experience. She listens to you, makes sure you’re comfortable, and most importantly knows what she’s doing and how to work with your hair. My bonus point is that Jenna M really matches your energy. You can tell that she’s totally a girls girl. If you’re feeling sleepy or not the most talkative, she doesn’t force conversation to happen. If you feel like yapping, she's right there with you. This is a total personality trait and maybe a learned customer service skill, but either way I appreciate it as someone who’s a bit more of an introvert.

I went in as a hair model for Bella August 2025 and loved the way my hair came out. I reached out to the stylist saying I just need my roots touched up (which would be bleach then color just on the roots) it should have taken at most 3 hours. Then she proceeded to bleach MY ENTIRE HEAD and re-did color all over ( for 5.5 hours) making it look AWFUL. She then proceeded to charge me 225$ and would t refund me when I expressed literally later that night that it left me really upset so much so I can’t look myself in the mirror. This has left me suicidal. I have never been so upset over my hair before this I would normally roll with it but it has never been this bad. All the photos are before she “fixed” it.

Hannah is extremely patient and kind- she does an amazing job. She listens and takes the time to understand what her clients would like done.

Brought my son for a touch up trim. My son was very polite and vocal with the hairdresser Avis M, even showing her how much he wanted off with his fingers. Avis M. acted as she was listening, but did the opposite giving him a full on haircut. When she was finished she said, “Now you can see” validating she did what she wanted not what my son requested. On top of it she charged $44.00 which I paid without a complaint or saying anything and tipped $10.00 (since she was the only one working you didn’t offer Venemo I had to pay the $3.50 ATM fee) Why you asked I even tipped her at all? Because she rushed us out so fast I didn’t notice how much hair she cutoff until I was in the car. On top of everything else she did not even take time to wash his hair. Granted he washed it before we came to the salon but when you are charging $44.00 for a man’s haircut (a 14 year old) you would think she would at least massage the scalp or something; I do not even think she put in conditioner she was so fast. I felt as though we were a burden to her time instead of being treated like a paying customer. I hope the owner watches the video because there was another young man getting a haircut in the chair next to us who was there before and after we left. The point is my son is visibly upset and Avis M. care less rushing out the door.
