I went back and forth about leaving this review, but as a first-time customer, I was very disappointed. I had Henry as my technician. I sat for about 20 minutes before I was helped-even though I had an appointment specifically with Henry. I picked him based on the high number of Google reviews that praised him. I realized about 5 minutes into my appointment that the large number of reviews are due to his constant badgering of clients with asking them to leave him a 5-star review. I had bright orange dip powder on my nails when I came in. He told me he would do “a fill,” and proceeded to paint white over my orange nails, then paint purple over the white so they would be purple and white nails. I wanted a nude base under my french, so my nails wouldn't show growth. I held the color book up and asked for his assistance. He said "girl just pick a color. It's not that serious." The color I thought would be a pinky-nude ended up being full-blown purple because of his "technique." I initially wanted almond nails, but he told me square is “easier for french,” and told me that would be better so we should go with that. He never gave me the opportunity to speak because he kept telling me he is a genius and since he is a nail tech that need to trust him. My nails turned out horribly. I dealt with them, because I’d rather that vs dealing with him again. I will not be back.

Y’all! This place is hands down the best salon I have been to. I found it a month ago when I was up here visiting from Calvert county. I came back today to get myself done up for vaca next weekend. They spoiled the heck out of me. The lady I had noticed swelling in my ankles from health issues and did hot wax treatment, hot towels, hot stones, massage and more. Even put a hot pad around my neck to release some tight stress muscles. She talked me into manicure also and I mentioned I loved their diamond lights so she gave me bling on my fingers. All this without breaking the bank. I paid $115 and got more than just toes and nails done . I got shown compassion, love and laughter. Def a ten star location

Today was my first appointment with Tina and I will definitely be returning! She gave me exactly what I asked for. *Photos for reference* I love them 😍

The beginning of my experience at Top Nails Spa was not so pleasant because the gentlemen that I had did not quite understand what I truly wanted done to my nails so the boss intervened and he removed everything back to start over from from scratch and moved me to someone else and the lady nail artist did a fantastic job on my nails afterwards! I could not have been any more pleased than what I am for the beautiful work and how well she understood and just put my ideas right onto my nails as I wanted from the very beginning! Thank you Top Nails I will come again for sure.

I had really high hopes for this place because the reviews are so great. Unfortunately my gel manicure came out very sloppy and messy with gel polish on my skin and parts of my nails were patchy. When I told the lady up front she offered to redo it but I really didn’t have the time. She ultimately offered a discount on the manicure which I appreciate but not before gas lighting me, telling me it’s the color that I PICKED and it’s a difficult color, that’s why it came out that way. I have been getting my nails done for years and never have I ever had them come out like this. It was incredibly disappointing. They could clearly see it was done poorly, at least take accountability without making people feel bad.
