Koi Nails

My wife loves this place! I usually tag along and get a pedicure cuz when you where military boots 90% of the time you need as a man. But the customer service is amazing! You can tell they really care about their customers. Honestly it looked like the customers were family!

I’ve been getting my nails done by Tina for at least 7 years now, probably longer. She does a fantastic job and her designs are beautiful! I’m always happy with my nails when I leave and the quality is amazing! I won’t go anywhere else!

I went to get a gel acrylic nail full set for the first time. All of the ladies were professional. The male,; however was offset, and did not do a gel acrylic full set. I have been doing this for 50 years, and whatever he did is coming apart 2 days later. I have NEVER had that happen. I was also charged $50 for this service, when nothing on their nail menu cost that much?????????? I suggest people look elsewhere.

They do not take walk ins due to Covid. Called and was given same day apt. Tina did an amazing job. My nails are beautiful. Only thing worth mentioning is that they did not have gems of any kind and I was told that they only do very simple designs. However, this did not affect my number of stars because of how beautiful my nails turned out. I will be coming back.

I started coming to Koi Nails after trying two other highly rated salons in Ellicott City. At both salons, my gel/powder dip and acrylic nails broke or chipped within four days after application. The atmosphere at Koi nails isn't as luxurious or relaxing, and the decor isn't as stylish, but I get exactly what I want which is consistency and a beautiful set of nails that last for a fair price. I see Tina for my acrylic nails. She's a perfectionist who also listens and advises. I've had to wait past my appointment time on occasion, but this is most likely due to her not rushing through her clients' services. She always checks multiple times to make sure I'm happy with the shape and length. She also tests the color before applying it to all of my nails. If it's not what I expected, she happily helps select another option. I love her! In general, I've noticed that all of the staff seem friendly and have excellent rapport with their clients which leads me to believe they have a strong repeat customer base. It's a good sign when a client walks in and is all smiles as they greet their technician. I've noticed that no one has ever tried to up-sell services as soon as I walk in the door which, in my experience, a lot of salons do.
