Bliss Nail Bar

I was working near by and needed a pedicure before the weekend started. After a quick Google search, this salon came up. I noticed how huge and gorgeous this place was upon walking in. After I signed in, I was escorted to the back. Andy introduced himself, offered me a beverage and began starting my pedicure. He removed my previous gel polish ($7) and started the Quick Shot pedicure ($38). I throughly enjoyed my treatment. Andy even recommended a product to help with my toenails and where you buy it. After my toes were painted, I was escorted to the drying station and thanked Andy. Once it was time to pay, I noticed a sign saying a 3% charge will be added to the total. I don't recall if said for all payments or just card payments but regardless, I wasn't happy about the extra fee nor do I know it's purpose. Overall, I had a great experience and may return again in the future.

*** Edited after having to schedule appt to redo 3 nails - 3 days post-service, one of which peeled off on the corner, others bubbling on the way to peel. From 1 stars to 2*** Mimi fixed my nails she did a much better job. She gave me a full set saying she was afraid I would have to come back and to save me time. I wonder if she did it because subconsciously she knew the botchy original would come off in the coming days. But she put it on me, and saving me time. All good. Appears to me that colleagues have solidarity for each other as she defended her colleague’s sub par job. Also slightly blamed me for overreacting in my original review and peeling the gel off with my nail. If you know gel, you know a simple finger nail can’t peel off, it’s a poor job that creates the initial chip which is what I showed. See picture with two fingers. This place is not for me, not worth the value, I’d rather pay more for better quality and more attention to detail. I have not had to ever come back in 15 years of getting gel service twice before (1 right after service and getting in my car) 2 - nails peeling three days after service. Original edited: Nail tech John may be a nice person, however, I hope this edited review serves a learning moment. I experienced messy station, use of tech’s finger nail instead of sterile tool used to remove polish from skin. I asked for rectangle round edges and got very edgy rectangles. I should have been more vocal on the spot so I take fault in that. However low lighting and lack of attention to detail from the tech made it difficult for me to see inside the ‘nail bar’. I had an amazing experience at Bliss Nails! Ping did my nails and absolutely nailed it—literally. She was gentle, detailed, and took her time to make sure everything was perfect. I showed her a design I liked and she brought it to life effortlessly. I recommend her 10,000,000%—seriously, book with Ping if you want your nails done right the first time. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Mimi does an amazing job with my nails! She can do any design that you want with perfection. Love her talent and how much she pays attention to details.

Initially I walked in and was told to come back in 20 minutes which I did. I came to get a soak off & a gel manicure that didn’t happen. The nail tech doesn’t appear to know proper techniques. He used a nail drill to remove almost all of the gel polish on 1 hand, placed my hands in cold water and acetone for 30 seconds and then proceeded to drill all of the polish off. The nail drill speed and pressure were too high for natural nails peeling layers of my nails and causing them to burn. I questioned why he was using the drill this way on my natural nails. He acted like he couldn’t understand me and called the receptionist. I explained to her that he didn’t allow my nails to soak in the acetone for 5 mins before he started drilling again. From the poor technique, poor ventilation and strong cigarette smoke emitting from the tech I was ready to go. The receptionist allowed me to soak my 2nd hand so the acetone could work properly. Then the tech gets a walk in new customer and tells me to move. I don’t know why he was rushing they weren’t crowded, but it wasn’t a lot of techs there.
