After Hour Nails and Spa

I’ve been seeing Susan and Natalie at After Hours for a few years, and they’re simply the best. Friendly, skilled, and always accommodating—even when I show up with a chaotic schedule or a few broken nails. I usually get hybrid gel, and when I stay consistent, my nails stay healthy and strong. They’re also great with design work—if you bring in an idea, they’ll make it happen with care and attention to detail. And when I occasionally bite them off (it happens), there’s never any judgment—just a quiet fix and a fresh start. After Hours is reliable, relaxed, and genuinely great at what they do.

I was just at the spot I started going to in B-More but alas, today they weren't as receptive as they usually are. I left and walked one block and found this salon and here we are. I didn't have an appointment and I was told there would be a wait. While I waited, I was offered a chair massage. This was such a great idea as by the time Susan was ready to start my Pedi, I was well and truly relaxed. Susan's pedicure is top notch. You should see how she's even holding my toes. (Writing this review while she works). Don't judge the lack of "prettiness" in here on the same level as skills. They may not have all the fancy lighting and, art decor etc but this is one of the best regular pedicures I've had for a long time. My toenails are being prodded, filed, cleaned, massaged and lotioned like they are going for inspection. I am thoroughly enjoying and appreciLIKING how professional and thorough Susan is! I cannot speak for the others, but if your toes need some love, definitely book with Susan! I recommend! The End.

I’m sure this is a great spot based on the reviews (which is why I went), but I wouldn’t go back based on my GelX experience. The application was done differently than other places I’ve been and she used the wrong size nails. The first picture is how I left. I got to my car and realized how bad it looked so I went back and explained that it’s not supposed to look like this. She added extra layers of gel to cover up the gapping, which I appreciated, but it just ended up looking super thick and unnatural. I was so upset when I got home that I just spent $85 of my hard earned money on this… I ended up going back to my usual spot today (the day after) to get them taken off and new ones done. I’m sad I can’t give this place a good review.

I shopped around different nail salons in DC, Columbia, and Baltimore before coming here and I've been sold ever since. I've been coming here regularly for around a year now and I love it. I usually get gel x but sometimes I do dip powder. Susan's attention to detail is what won me over. I bring pictures of something I like, request certain modifications and she gets to work. I always leave satisfied. 10/10 recommend.

I had a wonderful experience with Susan for my gel pedicure. She has excellent attention to detail. Nail shape was straight and symmetrical, polish applied evenly with clean edges. I am picky with my shape/polish and I was thoroughly pleased with her work! The salon was very clean. The staff was kind and professional. Great prices. Massage chair was very relaxing. I'll definitely be returning!
