Nina is my nail technician at Kimi's Nails in Accokeek, MD. She is wonderful! Her work is always flawless. My gel manicures and pedicures still look fresh 2 weeks later.

Our manicurist, Tia, did a great job on my daughter’s nails. They are beautiful. We were walk-in clients and they took her straight away. Price was more than I was expecting to pay, plus a tip, but it was worth it because my daughter was happy. One star off for the condition of the nail salon. The floors were so dirty in the waiting area and all over the shop as far as I could see. It was if they never sweep the floors, or clean up at all.

After seeing the reviews and long term customers I thought this would be a perfect spot to get my nails done before my job interview. Boy was I wrong. Overall, the place is clean. Quite. No wait time. I only interact with the woman who did my nails. One tech was assisting no one. And the other was doing a mani/pedi. My tech was clearly not experienced and tried to upsell me on additional products. I have short nails and am a nail-bitter. I will be the first to admit my nails are not ideal. I informed the tech I was here for a gel manicure. She told me I needed tips added. I said no. She tried to tell me i needed to do the dipped powdered color because it add strength. I thought, sure! Maybe that will help with my bitting. I've never done this process before so I was for familiar with what it all includes. The nail tech immediately went into the dipping process of my nails, no prep. No cuticle clean up, nothing. I thought oh this is different and didn't say anything because I'm not a nail tech nor do I know the process. She did a very poor job with the dip. You can see spots and my nails are uneven. After about 3 or 4 on some fingers color powder dips she told me to wash my hands and then put glitter over my nails. Wait what? I did not ask for that at all. I look like a middle schooler with these nails. She clearly did that to cover up the lack of coverage. Then she pretend to put lotion on my hands. Why? I have no idea. You can see the poor job in the pictures. I will not be coming back or referring anyone to this place.

First time visiting this nail salon. I had called the day prior to see if they do walk-ins and appointments and they do. I was able to set an appointment for the next day right when they opened. The establishment seemed clean, better than most places I have been. Appointment was on time as there wasn’t many people when I came in. I had a gel mani and the cherry bing pedi. The tech took her time and did not feel like it was rushed especially since it was almost a year before I have been to a nail salon so I knew my nails were in bad shape. Thankfully she got my nails looking better. If I had to nitpick at anything it would be that some of the polish was not removed on some areas when my skin cracked or there was a fissure. The tech tried her best to remove but some of the polish bled into the cracks. Not a big deal it’ll get removed as I was my hands. Overall 5/5 service. Pricing is Fair.

Apparently, when you ask for a set you get what your kids can do on some nails. Bubbles, thick paint, painted over the hanging nail that was half filed. $75 for full set with design but didn't get the design and was still charged $75. For another asked for $45 nails and after they already glued the nail on they say our menus prices are inaccurate and it's $75. So 2 different people getting their nails done here hate them.
