Nail Capital and Spa Florence

I came here a lot last year and have had generally good experiences. Unfortunately I'm pretty disappointed with the service today. I asked for french tips and got the attached. I initially said they were fine because admittedly im not great with confrontation but after sitting in the car a few minutes I decided to go back in and voice my concern. I showed a picture of a traditional French tip (one of the first on google) and was told that what I got was a french tip and I should have shown the photo as it was an art design and would cost more. I am going to get them redone elsewhere. I probably won't be back here but if someone reading this is planning on going make sure to show a picture of exactly what you want. To their credit the staff was very friendly and I have had good experiences in the past so this may be a one off incident.

I went in October 24 to get my nails done with my mom and my mom had a super easy design picked out just plain colors with glitter They proceeded to tell her that they couldn’t do that and picked out opposite colors of what she wanted so she didn’t end up getting her nails done because of how they were towards her about it then when I went and got my nails done, I showed her a picture. They came out absolutely nothing like the picture. charge me $80 for something I don’t even like just for my nail to pop off 5 days later.. I truly do not recommend going here!!

I used to like this nail salon but my last two visits I was very dissatisfied with the service. I always come here for my ingrown toenails but the last two times they couldn’t take care of it, I wanted my nails cut short and my ingrown toe nails that’s digging into my skin taken cared of but the lady technician said she couldn’t do it she’s afraid to do it! Got out of the place still feeling my ingrown toenails. This place should hire people who could do the job! The nerve to even ask for tips for a crappy job!

Andy is the best! He surprised me by buying the book I wrote and creating nail designs featuring my characters! Totally above and beyond— I was so touched by his thoughtfulness. 😭 He is extremely talented as an artist and has the biggest heart! And my nails always look incredible!

I used to come here all the time when they opened and when I lived in nky. Idk what has changed, but it is not even near what it used to be. My nails are really botched. I can’t just come up for fixing because I am at UK. But I will no longer come here. Also it used to cost me $50 plus tip and now it is $70 plus tip, with way worse quality of work and cheap materials. The polish color on my acrylic gel nails isnt fully covering the nails in a lot of areas. The actual nails are so wavy and bumpy. I cannot find a way to get it on picture, but seriously you can see it in person and it is bad. The top coat they used on my nails has ruined the color and it attracts dirt and stays awful. I never had that issue before with matte top coats here. The shape of the nails is not symmetrical in even the slightest, and almost all the top of my nails are slanted. I haven’t gotten my nails done in years so tbh I wasn’t really comfortable saying anything in the moment, and was just trusting the girl because I have gotten probably over 20 full sets here before. I am gonna have to pay someone to fix the waviness and shape and it just isn’t right. I did see 2 girls waiting for their nails to be fixed as well. Clearly quality is no longer a thing here and they are fine doing any nails even if they look awful, bc they make money and don’t tell you the price until the end with a shock. I have added two photos. They are of one nail that has the awful top coat chipped off. I was able to chip it off with another nail. You can see the color i actually chose, vs how the top coat has become stained and ruined the color. I got my nails done on 11/5, they have looked like this since 11/11.
