Q Nails and Spa Plainville

I am a bit disappointed with my most recent visit on 11/16/25, I came in for a standard dip manicure the gentleman who did my nails completely ripped up my cuticles so much so 4 of my fingers are cut. My left index, ring and pinky finger as well as my right pinky finger. I completely understand accidents happen and cuticles can be tricky I definitely would not be writing this review if I had only been an issue with one finger it is the fact that it was 4 fingers! The cut to my ring finger was acknowledged by gentleman doing my nails because it began to bleed as for the other three I noticed as soon as I washed my hands at home and my cuticles were burning, I then took out my phone’s flashlight and noticed I had been cut. During the Service I did have some discomfort on these cuticles, but I just assumed it was from the chemicals being used Because I have sensitive skin and I’m also not one to complain believe it or not. I didn’t realize that it was burning so bad because they were cut. I will say that the dip job was beautifully done but my cuticles do hurt pretty bad, I’ve applied antibacterial ointment and some bandages in order to keep them from getting infected. 11/18/25 Edit: My Sensitive skin aside, Staff should be trained in using their equipment before performing services on paying clientele. Also, it was four of my fingers that were cut Not three.

First experience here was great! Also my first time trying the gel-x extensions which might be my new go to over acrylics. Very very impressed with my design, I came in with what was definitely a printed press on design for inspo and I think she (so sorry I forgot to ask for a name) did fantastic! I was offered a shoulder massage (I did not partake but very nice to be asked) and a drink. Very clean, I watched my nail tech take sterile tools out of a machine to be used and then when done they were taken back away from the front so not to be grabbed by mistake for someone else. Great attention to detail, thank you!

Such a good place to get a manicure! Mine have been on for a month and 8 days so far (I know, I need to go and get them done I just haven’t had time) but there is no lifting whatsoever. The color chipped off on three of them but I work with my hands a lot so it’s so surprise there. The staff is nice and you get a shoulder massage at the end of your services. Would definitely recommend going here for a manicure.

Went in to get a pedicure like I have many times in the past and the gentleman that was doing my toes used the drill and filed my toes with a hand file and I had made him aware multiple times that he was hurting me. He filed it paper thin and split my toenail then glued it back together and threw polish on it. Not only did he split my toe he cut the side of my foot when removing dead skin. I explained to the owner what happened and there response was he doesn’t speak English, they said because there’s polish on it they can’t do anything. English speaking or not he knew he did something wrong when he was gluing my toenail back together. I got home and toes had already lost the polish, I called and the owner told me no refund then hung up on me. I now have an infection and my podiatrist told me I am going to lose the toenail So i would like to add to your response…., First of all I did not have anything wrong with my toe when he started my pedicure. And if you look back on your camera as you have in past reviews you will see there was no problem with my toe until after he filed it and put it in the hot water. I pulled my foot out a few times and spoke to him and he never went and got you. I never asked him to repair my toe! he put glue and gel powder on top. He said to me “you must’ve bumped it” and I kept telling him no I did not!! So for you not to believe me when I explained to you what happened and you tell me that you can’t do anything because it has polish on it. Well then it seems like you’re running your business That way ,you do a quick repair throw polish on it and send us on our way that’s not a business I wanna be associated with. And as we speak, I’m sitting in the podiatrist office and I’m having my toenail removed and being put on antibiotics because of the infection

Always an amazing experience but today was extra special! My pedicure was great, and I got a full set of the gel x nails for my birthday this weekend. I've never had a bad experience with any of the nail techs there, but I certainly have a new favorite. Jojo took extra care completing the design I wanted perfectly, I loved her technique. It was slightly different than other sets I've gotten, and I absolutely adore the results!! She was so personable, and we had some laughs which made the whole experience even better. Don't even get me started on my complimentary shoulder massage .... I almost proposed, she was an angel. I left beyond satisfied with my services, and with everyone wishing me a happy birthday! Coming from someone who's spent a decade in the service industry, I don't even worry about the prices because fantastic customer service like this is priceless. 10/10 the owners should be very proud of their business and their staff!
