Lux Nails

Had my nails done here yesterday and i was very impressed. I didn’t get the guy’s name who did my nails, but I wish I did because I’d love to go back to him every time. I keep short nails and he did a meticulous job with my gel manicure and didn’t get even the smallest amount of gel on my skin or cuticle. I know these nails aren’t going to lift or chip. The guy I saw sat in the against the wall in the chair closest to the bathroom! He was awesome!

I have limited time off so I searched for local nail salons open on Sundays. Lux had the best reviews for Dubuque, so I headed that way. The reviews didn’t disappoint! The service was excellent, the attention to detail impeccable, and I left there completely happy with my mani/pedi!

Excellent!!! I think there was only 1 employee that spoke English. But, she communicated well with the tech that did my nails. I had a nail that was broken deep by my nailbed. They knew exactly what to do to save it. While I was waiting for my nails to harded, the nail tech gave me a shoulder and neck massage. It was unexpected and appreciated. The price was a little less then I expected to pay. I will be going back

I had gone to this place 3 times. I thought it was going to be my favorite new spot.. it’s a cute place. I now have a horrible infection under my finger nail that’s very painful. They do not wash hands in between clients and they do not require anyone getting a service to wash hands. I watched them use the same tools on everyone coming in without cleaning them. My finger nail with take months to go back to normal. I’m super bummed! If they were to be more strict with cleanliness it would have potential to be a great place. The staff was friendly and they are reasonably priced… but like I said they are not taking proper precautions!

Loving my nails today! They were able to take a video I showed them, and turned it into a work of art!
