Polished Nail Bar

I hadn't had my nails done in 20 years. I had a spur of the moment thought of getting my nails done so I searched on Google who had some of the best reviews in Plymouth. 'Polished Nail Bar' was at the top of the list so I decided to stop in and they took me right away as a walk-in. I didn't want them to look fake or thick like I see so many nails. Jessica kept them more natural and thinner. I used acrylic which I like the idea of better than gel nails. I have farm animals I need them to be sturdy and durable. Jessica suggested the acrylics as well, which I am very happy with how they turned out. They are absolutely beautiful! The photos do not do them justice!

Ms Ha Ton was so patient n kind. She shaped my terribly ugly nails beautifully, n replaces my color expertly( i felt pampered) made my fingers look so pretty! Ms. Christina Tran did my son's girl, fill-in n re color they looked amazing like new. These ladies worked very hard n excellent customer service! Highly Recommend them both.

The atmosphere was friendly and the salon was very clean. I had my last set of nails (acrylic) completely taken off prior to getting a full set. The process was almost completely painless and efficient the nail tech did a wonderful job. She was funny and made sure I liked everything she was doing when she moved onto shaping my nails into what I had asked for. The nails came out natural looking, smooth, and the perfect color for the warmer weather coming around. I will be returning for me fill :)

(THE PRIDE NAILS WERE NOT DONE BY THIS SALON) I made an appt online and selected any tech because I am visiting the area. I don’t know the nail tech’s name. She must have told me don’t worry 50 times. That was my first red flag. I got a dip mani with gel for color and a standard gel pedi. The pedi was ok, she used the gel color I brought in, which I appreciated. I was going to get a callus remover and she said I didn’t need it. On to the mani, I told her I needed the nails cut back a little bit because they were a little long for me. I told her one of my nails was broken. I told her I wanted to keep the rounded shape. Every time I requested something, she said “don’t worry.” I was busy on my phone while she was doing my nails (grave mistake) and when I looked up, all of my nails had been cut way back and one hand had pointy nails, not uniform at all. I was so shocked that I didn’t say anything and felt that it was too late to say anything since one whole hand was already like that. The dip, which I use because I am hard on my nails, is so thin that it doesn’t provide any protection, and she didn’t glue my broken nail. That was Monday, and this morning, Thursday, my nail broke while drying my hair. I am so disappointed by this whole experience. I didn’t expect them to last as long as they usually do, but I thought they would at least last a week, at which point I could get them redone by my nail tech at home. The photos are what my nails looked like before I went in (NOT done by them), and my nails today, after my nail broke off. I’m giving them two stars because the pedi was ok.

I feel terrible I didn’t get the two ladies name who helped my daughter and I today but they are both in the photos. I went there for a pedicure today with my 3 year old and I was actually surprised at how welcoming they were to her! Normally people get irritated when seeing a child come in but the woman who worked with her was so so kind and attentive. Asked her what she wanted , made sure water wasn’t too hot. She was complimenting her and smiling the whole time. It was very refreshing to see ! The woman who did my nails was also amazing and so kind with me and my daughter. Also complimenting her non stop. It was very clean and just and all around great experience. We will definitely be going there for our future mommy daughter pedicure dates! It was nice to be able to relax and not feel like a bother. She even carried her to dry her nails like a little princess because I wasn’t finished yet. Our toes came out so perfect !
