Chopping Block Hair Salon

Sami is phenomenal!! I’ve been getting my haircut here at chopping block for the past few years, but since I only get it cut about once per year I never really schedule with the same person. I’ll definitely be scheduling again with Sami after this experience! She brought a great energy and vibe. She took her time to answer all of my questions and explain what she was doing and why she was doing it in full detail. For someone like me who doesn’t know hair this was such an awesome experience. She introduced me to some new products which were so fun to use during my appointment. Just her knowledge of hair in general was so impressive! I felt totally confident in her abilities. She gave me a bunch of layers and some curtain bangs and helped frame my face better. I really can’t speak highly enough about her! Thanks again Sami!

I’ve been seeing Emily for the past year and a half, and I can confidently say she is a true artist at her craft. Her attention to detail is unmatched—she always listens closely and somehow knows exactly what I want, even when I can’t fully describe it myself. Since she’s been doing my hair, it’s not only looked better than ever, but it’s also become noticeably healthier and thicker. I trust her completely and always leave her chair feeling amazing. Highly recommend Emily to anyone looking for a stylist who genuinely cares and delivers consistently flawless results!

EDITED on 8/30: She listened to exactly what I wanted. The haircut was perfect the length and the curls I'm obsessed with! My hair looks so full now, she got rid of the layers and the blunt cut is just so good. She even gave a little scalp massage while shampooing and it was amazing. Loved chatting with her and overall I'd definitely come back and see Lisa again. ~ I wanted a clear gloss. Something to enhance my natural color. Stylist repeatedly only gave me two options- red or violet. I said I don't want either of those, I want a chocolate brown to match my natural hair. Ended up with a red toner in my hair which is just not what I had wanted. I also told her I always do a blunt cut and she gave me long layers even though I told her I wear braids a lot and don't want strands poking out. I did enjoy the scalp detox I had booked though. And gave a few more stars because I've been here at least 4 times in the past 2 years and always have had a good experience! I love how soft my hair always feels after getting it done here! This time I just felt like I wasn't really listened to.

THE BEST SALON IN BRECK! I have been going to The Chopping Block for years, but don't think I've ever left a review! I see Melanie, the owner who is amazing, but all of the stylists are very talented. I just got another incredible cut (thank you Melanie!) and just wanted to share how much I love this salon!

I’ve now had two haircuts here from different stylists and I can say that both were five star experiences. I live in vail so it’s a little bit of a trek to come over but it’s 100% worth it. This is the only place in the mountains that i’ve ever recommended to friends. Every other salon i’ve been to has been majorly overpriced or honestly has had weird vibes. Not this place! Everyone working there is so friendly and really knows what they’re doing. It’s always the perfect combo of listening to what I want done and suggesting what would look best. Plus both stylists i’ve had have been good conversationalists and made the whole experience welcoming and fun! Thanks for the great haircut!
