Venetian Nail Lounge

I've come here twice given the high reviews and it just hasn't clicked for me either time. I'm so happy to see how many people have amazing nails here but, unfortunately, that hasn't been my case either time. The first time, I did a green ombre nail which looked nice when I left but was chipping by day 2. By time I went back for my next set (less than 2 weeks later), I was keeping my nails together with vibes and hope. At least 3 nails had chipped off color (some resulting in the nail under also chipping), some had color lift entirely, and all had at least some color missing from tips. First 2 pix were my nails in less than 3 weeks between appointments. The next time I made a 9 am appointment because I knew it was a holiday week. The color I wanted (white shimmer) wasn't available so I went more holiday-forward and asked for soft square with red base and gold shimmer. The tech seemed to rush and a deluxe mani was done in about 30 min. He didn't even acknowledge the mess my nails had become (granted, it was a different tech than the first time). He cut all my nails down to the shortest nail (which was a broken nail) and they are shorter than they've been in months! I much would have preferred a tip on the broken nail. Also, one of the nails that chipped after the gel chipped from the last set was left as it and not fixed with a tip so looks weirdly uneven in shape (picture). Also, the gold "shimmer" was blocky gold glitter which does not look nice with how short they are. They were also so square, they could be box cutters. I had to go home and soften the edges because they were catching on everything. Picture included from when I walked out and was in my car (so very fresh). I likely won't return to this one but will say that, generally, the staff have been really friendly.

I’ve been going to the same nail salon in Scottsdale for about 5 years but decided to try this new spot near my home in Surprise. I called ahead and spoke with Jamie, letting her know I was very picky and wanted the same person to do both my nails and pedicure. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. Mimi did my pedicure, and she drilled off my gel polish without soaking first, which was really uncomfortable and actually burned my nails. I had to ask for a soak afterward. She also SPRAYED THE CLIPPERS WITH ALCOHOL before using them, which didn’t feel sanitary, didn’t clean under my nails, and didn’t take care of my ingrowns. The massage was about 8 minutes, but she didn’t put much effort into it — though she did make sure to point out that it was exactly 8 minutes. I upgraded to the $45 pedicure and added gel for $15 (which is over $10 more than what I normally pay), but the entire pedicure only lasted around 30 minutes. Danny, the owner, drilled off my old dip, and Kaitlyn applied the new dip. She was very sweet and tried to make them thicker as I asked, but they still came out thin and uneven in spots. A few positives: they offer free water, soda, tea, and coffee, and the owner was very attentive with other clients, checking on everyone throughout the salon. However, he didn’t ask about my experience before I left — though I did have to rush out since my appointment ran over 2 hours, compared to 1.5 hours at my regular salon. Overall, the staff was kind, but the quality and attention to detail just didn’t match what I’m used to, especially for the price. Hoping they improve since they’re new, but I probably won’t return.

This is my second visit and I brought my sister this time and we were very pleased. For nails we had Austin who has a great personality, is fast yet efficient. And Fizza for pedis and she is amazing as well. Five star service.

I’ve been going here for a few months now and truly love the vibe. At times, the wait can be frustrating, but the quality of the pedicures and builder gel makes up for it. I specifically see Nicole for builder gel sets, and she is extremely attentive and kind. She’s been helping me with my natural nail growth journey since August and I’ve seen the most growth since! Most recently, I also received a pedicure from Sam and it was amazing!

Visiting family in the area and needed to get my feet done. I searched “best salons in surprise az” and this place popped up. I got a pedicure and the color I initially chose looked nothing like the sample when it was applied, so when I looked at it kind of confused, the nail tech asked what I thought about the color because she too noticed that it didn’t look the same as the bottle. So she took off the color and re-did it for me. So kind! I felt welcomed and that all my needs were met! They are definitely the best in surprise and I’ll definitely be back again!
