Nirvana Nails and Spa

This was my first time coming here, and it did not disappoint! Kayla and the rest of the staff were absolutely amazing! They were open for the holiday when other nail spots were not, and their service was superb! My nails feel absolutely amazing, and they have a great array of colors to choose from. If you are looking for a nice nail spot in the Goodyear/Avondale area, look no further and come to Nirvana Nail and Spa. You will not regret it!

I had such a great experience at Nirvana Nail Spa! They were super accommodating and got me in and out quickly — perfect for my busy schedule. I even had the chance to meet the owner, and he was incredibly nice, helpful, and thorough. You can tell he really takes pride in his business and wants every guest to leave happy.

Arrived at 1:15 on a Tuesday for a pedicure and gel manicure. The salon is beautiful and clean and they offer a lot of great services. I was excited on my very first visit because it wasn't busy at all. I sat for quite a while waiting for one of the three people working to finish their work on other customers and get to me. Finished pedicure at 2:45 - and it was an amazing pedicure but the time waiting around overshadowed the great work David did. After my pedicure he had to repair a nail for another customer so I sat waiting from 2:45 until 3:10 to get my gel manicure. I was going to leave but due to the time of day and traffic, I just decided to wait it out. I was there for a total of three hours, but I will say that I do love both my pedicure and my manicure. I just wish that it didn't take so long. I will probably give them another try some other time just to see if it goes a little faster. But definitely know that if you go there in the early afternoon on a weekday, you may be there for a long time because I only saw three people working. I took off one star for the long wait time.

The tech was very friendly, and seemed to really take his time to pay attention to detail. (Not looking away while filing and talking to co-workers.) But, my fill took about 90 min, polish was sloppy (even after asking to clean cuticle lines) and the first polish I picked didn’t come out even after 3 coats. Only then did the nail tech tell me that it was a very cheap product and he wishes they didn’t carry it. Had I’ve been warned in the beginning, I would have those in a different brand. Rather than removing the polish, he tried to cover it with another brand which I agreed to. The color came out much darker than the sample in the book, even though the color underneath was very light and neutral. Truly a bummer because he had such great customer service and seem to care about what he was doing, but the final product was not worth it. I then was told at the register that he said he fixed a couple of nails, so there was an up charge. I had no missing, broken, or even cracked Acrylic. I asked for thin, natural as possible. Which he accomplished for the most part, but some thick and some more very lopsided. No cuticle trim, no massage. $50 for a fill with gel polish that didn’t come out well at all :-(

As a spa owner myself, I scheduled an appt with Tam. He delivered exactly what I asked for. Not many work with builder gel but he does! His collection of colors and types of nails they do is incredible. Highly recommend. I will be back.
