Nail Palace

I have been to several walk in nail places for gel nails in and around Gadsden, this is by far the place to go. I was so happy to see them use FRESH and NEW tools on each client. So many places are unhygienic and scary that they're still open. This will definitely be my new walk in place! ♥️

I want to be crystal clear... Until today, I've had EXCELLENT customer service from this salon. I've been using this salon because my regular nail technician was out on medical leave. They guy with the ponytail gave me the best pedicure of my life. However, my experience today was subpar to say the least. If I cpikd give a ZERO I would!!!! I went into the salon at 5pm. I placed an image below of my nails. Upon entry, the chic in the second booth with the terrible hair coloring & split ends, began speaking to her counterpart questioning who would do my nails. It was clear that neither party was interested in doing my nails. However, she was the only woman at a nail station. She waved me over to her station. I sat down & clearly communicated I wanted a manicure & clear coat. I added my job requires me to have short nails; as she was looking at my nails like they disgust her. Then, she incessantly kept asking me the same question over & over about the service I wanted. So, I turned around & asked the patrons was I speaking clearly. One of the patrons, translated that she was inquiring whether I wanted gel or regular clear coat. I didn't think it was prudent to say the word "gel" because I only wear gel polish & that's what she was taking off. So, I turned back around & she instantly says she couldn't do my nails. Here's the thing.. If you don't want to do nails after 5pm, then close at 5. Don't have a sign that says you close at 6; if you give customers "I don't want to be here" energy. The service customers receive at opening should be the same the last hour before closing. What really pissed me off is she tried to blame her refusal on my "getting mad;" rather than her failure to effectively communicate. She is not someone I would refer. I CAN SAY THE OWNER WAS NOT THERE. I don't believe this would've occurred had she been there. I've had one instance; where my nails weren't done properly. The owner repolished them & was gracious; while doing so. I would never refer the lady in the second booth to anyone.... EVER!!!

The worst experience I’ve had yet trying to find a nail place in the Gadsden area. Can in the owner said it would be 45 minutes. So I waited 45 minutes!! All I needed was gel polish taken off my nails. Super easy. Then they just skipped me. Took 3 people that didn’t have an appointment that came in after me. This was the second bad experience I’ve had here! Please go anywhere else

I've been coming to this salon for quite a while, and when you’re with the owner or one of the experienced techs, the service is consistently good. They're skilled, friendly, and take pride in their work. I’ve had many positive visits here. However, the experience can shift when you're placed with a trainee. I understand that learning is part of the process, and I fully support giving people the space to grow—but there have been times when the trainee wasn’t ready for client work. Attempts to kindly guide or correct the issue were sometimes met with dismissive or snide remarks in another language. I was the only person in the salon at the time, so it was clear the comments were directed at me. It made what should’ve been a relaxing experience feel uncomfortable. The owner is nice, and I don’t think this reflects his intentions—but I do believe the environment could benefit from more professionalism when it comes to training and communication. If you go, I recommend asking for someone you trust, especially if you’re particular about how you like your nails done. It’s a good salon overall, but be aware your experience may depend on who you’re paired with.
