MoJo Hair Studio + Spa

I really wish I could say I had a positive experience at Mojo Hair, but unfortunately that wouldn’t be true. From the very beginning, things felt off. I called ahead to schedule my appointment because I have very thick hair and wanted to make sure the stylist was comfortable and experienced with it. The person on the phone was rude and assured me that “all stylists are capable,” which I later found out was not accurate. At my appointment, I clearly explained what I wanted—long layers, thinning, and a shorter length—and also mentioned that I was in a wedding the following weekend. I walked out with a choppy, uneven haircut that had been over-texturized, with random chunks taken out for no apparent reason. I called the next day to express my concerns. The owner was out, which I completely understood, and I didn’t expect an immediate call back. However, by the time she did contact me—a full week later—I had already gotten my hair corrected elsewhere for the wedding, meaning I had to pay for two haircuts. The owner was kind and offered a gift card, which I never received, and to be honest, I wouldn’t have used. Overall, I felt the experience was disappointing from start to finish. I’m sharing this so others can make an informed decision when choosing where to get their haircut.

It was my first time back in many years and I am so glad I went back! Samantha did an outstanding job! She has an upbeat personality and super friendly! She took her time and didn’t rush through it. I will definitely be back to see her! Great job, Samantha!

I got my hair and make up done by Samantha. I’m 60 years old and was the mother of the bride. Samantha gave me false eye lashes and smoky eyes to match my dress and she did an amazing job! She made me look years younger. I asked her to make slight changes to her color choices for the eyes, and she accommodated without issue. I’m grateful to her for making me look my very best!
