Nailcraft

Worst manicure of my life. I was visiting friends and decided to try this salon in MKE this past Friday, Oct 17th. I had regular polish on my nails and got a regular manicure. Somehow the technician didn’t get polish on the tips of my nails but managed to get polish all over my fingers, which I had to clean up after I left. She missed painting some of edges on my nails and 3 days later the polish is coming off (pic from Oct 20). Most of the clients were getting nail art so maybe that’s their specialty. I would never go here for a standard manicure.

Went to Nailcraft for the first time today. I got an exfoliating pedicure and gelx mani. Things I liked: - The person who took my call on the phone was really nice. I was deciding on gelx vs the hybrid gel overlay. She did a good job of explaining what the hybrid gel overlay was but I ultimately went for the gelx. - She was able to get me in about 15 minutes after making the call which was perfect timing for me. - The shop over all was cleanly and neat. - Loved my pedicure experience! I thought the tech did a great job all together and loved the results. - The person who did my gelx set (different person that did my feet) did a wonderful job of length and shape of the extensions. Things I didn’t like: - I thought the manicure work station wasn’t well lit and I think that contributed to my next couple of points. - Polish application was very uneven. Honestly probably the worst I’ve had in a while. Even though it wasn’t terrible at first glance, I still haven’t had results like this in a very long time. You can see that the polish is kind of sheer and uneven at the base of the nails. And on some of the nails the polish didn’t go all the way down on the tip. Like it wasn’t capped at the tips. - There was some sort of issue with the polish on my left thumb that the manicurist noticed when the clear top coat was applied. Not sure what it was but she wiped the top coat with a cotton ball or something and applied layers of clear top coat and the actual color polish. This created a bumpy surface. I did mention this and she just did another layer of color and top coat. Because of the extra layers the color looks slightly more opaque on my thumb than the rest of my nails. And is still kind of bumpy. - The nail on my right middle finger has a little black fiber or hair sealed in the polish. I did not notice these issues until I got home and saw it in better lighting. Overall, not sure that I’d return. I will add pictures if I can figure out how to do so.

They do a great job with acrylics! I've experienced some mishaps with booking but they do an excellent job on your nails. I've shown up for my appointment and they said I wasn't on their schedule, this has happened a couple of times. But they tend to be accommodating when that happens and fit me in anyways. I would recommend an appointment as I've tried to walk in but they don't actually accept walk ins even though it is advertised.

I went into nail craft thinking that I was going to have a great pampering experience but I was WRONG. So I got a pedicure (regular) and wanted the regular polish instead of gel so instead of filing off the gel polish that was on, they soaked it off and I also needed a fill. Mind you 4 of the nails were my real nails that was overlayed and 6 needed tips. So she soaked that acrylic off and then did a whole set. I only wanted 1 nail designed (like it already was) I showed the picture of what I wanted, she didn’t understand what I was asking so after she did everything, she had another person do the design. Once everything was finished I went to pay and I was out of $175. Meaning they charged me for a overlay, soak off (hand and feet), design, and pedi because how was it THAT much and not only did one nail pop off but 4 and one is lifting. One of the 4 was my REAL nail. They popped off like they were press on’s. I’m pissed because prior to me coming to this shop my nails were done in January 30th and I came to them on March 27th because I needed them done. Just for this to happen 2wks and 1day later that’s insane and since I was passed their grace period I was told I’d have to come in for a fill and add on the repair. Naw that’s on. Never again though. I polished two that broke to blend from a distance until I get them redone smh.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend Nail Craft. This is the second time they’ve asked for payment in the middle of my manicure—before my nails have even dried or the service has been completed. Not only is this inconvenient, but I also noticed that they don’t do this with every customer, which raises concerns about inconsistent treatment. A quality nail salon should prioritize customer experience and professionalism, ensuring that all clients feel valued and receive the same level of service. The young lady who did my nails didn’t do a great job or fully complete the manicure. Given this pattern, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere.
