2025-07-01My sister and I went to Anna Nails for manicures and pedicures, and unfortunately had a very upsetting experience. Without asking, the nail techs on both of us dug into our toenails to remove what were ingrown nails — even though neither of us had any pain or problems with them and we didn’t ask for this to be done. This is especially concerning because my sister has had multiple surgeries to treat her ingrown toenails, and they had finally started healing well. Thanks to this, her toe is now clearly infected. Mine is also extremely sore and tender to walk on. It’s important to note: it is illegal for nail salons to perform procedures like digging out ingrowns — that’s something only a licensed medical professional should handle. We came in for a relaxing service and left in pain and distress. My sisters nail artist was also rude and unprofessional. In the picture you can see blue nail polish all over her toe. The artist tried to SCRAPE it off with a nail file, because she had already cured the gel, so there was no getting it off with nail polish remover. While she was receiving her manicure by the same girl, she slapped her hand down multiple times and would aggressively move it… that was strange to us. My sister was sure the girl just hated her, and we never said anything to make her act this way. Her manicure is also below average. My manicure is very cute, but I was also cut twice by the file and drill. I am also concerned about an infection possibly forming. Overall very disappointed and upset with what we experienced. Would not recommend, and we will absolutely not be coming back! Pictures shown are my sisters manicure and pedicure.
