I was gifted a visit to Nordine Spa for my birthday by my sister, and it was absolutely amazing from start to finish! I did a Moroccan hammam with Sara, and it was beyond perfect. The pressure was exactly right, everything was impeccably clean, and the entire experience felt deeply relaxing and luxurious. Sara was incredibly skilled and made the treatment feel both rejuvenating and soothing. Best Moroccan bath I’ve done in the DMV area. After that, I had a haircut and gloss with Nikia, who was truly outstanding. She does hair so beautifully and with such passion, you can tell she genuinely loves what she does. My hair was refreshed, hydrated, and the best cut I’ve ever received because she knew what suited me best. I also got a manicure which I’ve done better manicures elsewhere but overall it was nice. I want to especially highlight Hanna, the manager, who was so accommodating and super professional, making sure everything flowed perfectly. Nordine, the owner is an absolute sweetheart and genuinely cares about his clients experience. He personally makes sure that all clients leave happy and satisfied with their visit. I loved my treatments so much that I also gifted these services to my mother for her birthday. I’m going back very soon for a hair color, more Moroccan baths, and a lymphatic massage! This place is truly a gem.

Best salon out there, I got my hair colored, cut and glossed by Nakia! Most wonderful hair stylist out there. She knew what would suit me and she is the sweetest!! Hannah the manager is absolutely wonderful, she keeps everything in check. And makes sure everyone is happy with their treatments. Love this place and definitely coming back soon:))

Here’s my hair story: I first met Bea 14 years ago, when my hair needed serious help. I had complaints, she had solutions. She listened, evaluated, and got to work. Her advice was exactly what I needed. And when I developed an allergy to hair color, Bea didn’t flinch – she searched until she found a product I could safely use, and kept it stocked just for me. Eventually (thanks, COVID), when I decided to finally let go of coloring altogether, Bea helped me transition to my natural white hair with confidence and grace. Not only does Bea cut and style like an absolute pro, but she teaches you how to actually manage your hair at home. I don’t leave the salon looking amazing and then flail around for six weeks. I feel confident every single day – and that’s all because of her. You DESERVE Bea. Seriously. Go see her. I went to Salon Nordine right before a trip to treat myself and relax, and it was truly the best decision. The Moroccan Hammam treatment and blowout left me feeling completely refreshed and pampered. The space is beautiful, the staff is so kind, and the entire experience felt like a peaceful escape from the chaos of everyday life. Highly recommend!!

My overall experience was disappointing due to poor communication, lack of professionalism, and inconsistent service. Most upsetting was the mishandling of my hair donation—cut while wet, untied, and improperly prepared—which likely rendered it unusable, despite being the main reason for my visit. Please see the details below. I received a gift card and decided to use it at this location, excited to finally donate my hair for the first time. I had my sister call ahead to confirm they accept hair donations, and she was told yes. I followed up myself when booking the appointment and was told they aren’t affiliated with a specific organization, but could mail it for me or I could do it myself. I also asked if I needed to come with clean hair, and was told they would take care of everything, so I planned to go after my workout. Upon arrival, I met with my stylist. I prefer not to name anyone, but management is welcome to contact me if needed. I told her I was donating my hair and asked again if they could mail it. She said no, contradicting what I was told earlier, but I didn’t push back since I was okay mailing it myself. I emphasized that I wanted to meet the minimum 8-inch donation without cutting above my collarbone, which she said was doable. I also requested a gloss to help with frizz, and she recommended an additional treatment, which I agreed to. While washing my hair, she tried to talk me into permanent color, but I declined due to concerns about frizz. She agreed to use only toner. I overheard her giving instructions to her assistant, so I reminded her that we hadn’t done the haircut yet. She acknowledged this and told her assistant to just wash my hair for now. Back at the chair, she applied product and brushed my wet hair before braiding and cutting it—without securing it with a tie first. She handed me the loose cut hair, and I had to use my own hair tie. I was surprised and looked up donation guidelines, which state that hair should be dry to avoid mold. She handed me a plastic bag and, when asked, said it could dry afterward. With no other option, I trusted her judgment. As she continued the cut, I reminded her again that the only reason I was going short was for the donation. After the cut, she began the treatments. Halfway through the treatment while at the hair wash station, she mentioned she blow-dried my hair, which made me nervous about tangles. I had to ask for water, which I had to carry around and ended up getting sprayed with product during styling. I also noticed others had carts for their drinks. When I was returned to a chair, I was surprised to see she had already begun working on another client. That client was offered something to drink and what seemed more personalized attention. My stylist seemed distracted and later admitted she didn’t realize I was waiting. While she finished styling my hair, she kept looking at her other client, who I overheard was receiving a high-end treatment ($450), which she had also tried to upsell to me earlier. Despite liking the final look of my hair, the overall experience was disappointing. My concerns include: 1. The hair donation process didn’t seem well understood—no ruler was used, and only one end was tied. 2. My cut hair was wet and tangled, which may have compromised the donation. Once in my car, I noticed the tied end was still wet and messy. While the hair ended up being 10 inches long, I’m unsure if it’s usable due to how it was handled. For a salon of this caliber, I expected more professionalism and communication—especially for a meaningful experience like a first-time hair donation. I spent over $250, plus tips to both the stylist and assistant, and I left feeling disappointed. Because I believe the issues reflect broader communication problems, I’m choosing not to name anyone as all the stylists work under this salon and are not independent. I will not be returning and plan to find a salon that provides better service, and communication with client.
