Relax Nails

I have been going to Relax Nails for several years and it is because they do a great job, and the environment is so friendly. I can truly "Relax" while having my nails done. Kathy is wonderful, and others there are, too. You can't go wrong.

I consistently and religiously get my nails, toes and eyebrows done. I've been doing so since I was a pre-teen. Literally, that long. My nail care is super important to me. I can be very picky. I like my nails to be about as close to perfect as they can be. I've bounced from nail place to nail place, technician to technician for 10+ years now. I moved to the Short Pump area, I've been to all of the salons around town. None of them lived up to my standards. Maybe I was too picky but some were just downright not good. I gave Relax Nails a shot one day when I was simply fed up of trying new nail places. I just wanted 1 nail salon, 1 nail tech, that I could consistently go to and not be disappointed each time I went. Let's be honest, nail care can get costly and you want to be satisfied, right? Maybe that's why I wasn't settling for less! And neither should you! We deserve it! Anyway, I can honestly say that I FINALLY made a home at Relax Nails for my nail needs! Mandy is my nail technician and she ALWAYS delivers 100%! If she cannot give me exactly what I am asking for, she is upfront with me about it which I truly appreciate. She offers similar alternatives, will try new ways or different ways to accommodate me, she will make it work for you! No matter what. She treats you as her only customer even though you aren't. She's become my constant. I will never place my nails in anyone else's hands ever again. Anyone there does my pedicures, whomever is available. I haven't been disappointed there by ANYONE. All of them are so kind, warm, welcoming and accommodating. They know exactly what they are doing and exactly how to do it. Relax Nails has lived up to my PICKY & sometimes unrealistic expectations! I could never thank this place enough for always making me feel important, heard and beautiful. You're my #1 Mandy! I always have a good time when I go to Relax Nails.. everyone there is just so great n so sweet.. highly recommend!! All of them are great!! I been going to Kim for over 2 years n never been dissatisfied!!

Positives: They have an amazing selection of colors and reasonable prices. The staff was so incredibly nice and fun. I also like how efficient the service was. It allowed me to go between calls to get my nails done. They have a great rewards program $10 off for every $300 spent. Critiques: I can only speak to my one experience visiting for a dip manicure and one nail technician that provided the service. My concerns was it did not appear they were using sterilized tools. The towel they wrapped my hands with also left my hands smelling like mildew— clearly this load of towels they left sitting in the washing machine too long so it got that awful smell. As far as the actual quality of my dip manicure, it is noticeably chunky (see first image) and I can see the edge of the clear top coat on top of the powder base around the edges of my nail (second image). I think if the nail technician took some more time to effectively buff down the height of the powder it would look correct. Additionally, they should ensure the clear coat goes to the edge of the nail not just close to it. This is visible on almost all of my nails.
