WOW Nails & Day Spa

We had a fine experience at the shop; it was my mom, me, and my 6year old daughter. We got the classic manicures and my daughter got the princess manicure. The ladies treated us nicely, but we had to ask three times to all be seated together. Today - just ONE DAY after the manicure, two of my daughter’s polish(es?) just slid right off. One was putting on socks and one was just playing on the couch. I’ve never seen anything like it. She is so disappointed and so am I. What a shame and a great disappointment.

Their services with nails anre amazing, but waxing services? It was awful! So bad. I had the worst experience going there for leg waxing. It was too painful and I texted my friend right after telling her never to come here for waxing at all. The sad part is that I noticed the very thin layer of my skin has peeled after the service,y legs hurt but I thought I’d let it go and it’ll heal in some time. Of course going to a trip right the next day (that’s why I went there for service in the first place) l, I felt my legs hurt the first day from the sun and heat. I thought it’s a matter of time, then the 4th day the trip was the worst discovery, the peeled part turned very dark after tanning and look so bad. I’m very upset and very sad about this. To have this happen on a trip when I visit a “spa” is never acceptable and I don’t know how to fix this right now and what to do about it. The materials they used were outdated and not professional, pulling out rolls of waxing sheets not pre cut and pulling out the sheets in a way that hurts more and I didn’t have the spa experience at all, comparing it to a couple times I went to the European wax center, there are no words to describe! I had the best experience there with no pain and great results. I paid $70 at wow nails plus tips and they aren’t too cheap compared to $85 at European center and I’ll be happy to pay any amount there and not endure the same experience or results I had with this spa. When I got my gel nails done, the machine was broken, so my nails didn’t cure properly. The nail technician didn’t seem to care. By the third day, they started peeling off. I called and asked them to fix it, and they agreed—so I gave two stars instead of one. I politely asked for a different technician, but they said it had to be the same person. It’s been 10 days, and now three of my nails have peeled off and two are chipped. I’m really tempted to name the salon, but I won’t. I was excited to try this place because it’s close to where I live, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. Also, the place smells strongly of chemicals, which is really unpleasant.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this was especially bad. I got a pedicure and full set of acrylics done earlier today from Traci/Thuy. Let’s start with the fact that she never did any cuticle work. I asked for medium length coffin shaped nails. She filed all my nails into an almond shape, I corrected her and she had to reshape them. She applied the acrylic very thickly on to my nails then only shaped around the base of the nail, leaving the ends very thick and bumpy and sloping upwards. I told her they were not shaped right/looked wonky and asked her to reshape them. I had to coach her on how to shape the nail. She kept only filing one side and I kept asking her to file the other side to even it out. Literally so frustrating that I almost took the drill out of her hands to do it myself. It just got to the point that she clearly didn’t care, that I decided I’ll fix them on my own. When she applied the gel polish on some nails it came out bumpy and lumpy. It was like she was just rushing to get through it as quick as she could. When I had my pedicure she cut a huge chunk out of my big toe nail, but never said anything until she already did it and I was bleeding. It was not her place to so now the nail is crooked and going to grow out weird. She barely exfoliated my feet. And once again the nail polish is bumpy on a few nails. Why am I paying this money to an amateur who has no idea what they are doing? I’m sure there are some great nail techs but she is NOT one of them. She has no business doing people’s nails if she doesn’t know how to properly do them or is going to half ass everything. The whole experience was frustrating, waste of time and not worth the money. I will never go back. If you have Traci/Thuy as your tech, ask for someone else.

Amy at WOW nails is the absolute best!! I’ve been seeing her for 15 years for nails and eye brows. She is so efficient and always makes my nails look amazing!! Book her asap!!!
